This asshole selling thousands BTC at bitfinex with multiple 200 BTC walls is the culprit of today's drop. And why he is selling so much in such a noobish way, I can't imagine.  Probably too lazy to place multiple 20 BTC sell offers instead of several 200 BTC. Well, if he is happy to lose milions because of his stupidity, so be it.

I guess i'm noob too. I have no idea why you would not just put a limit order in at whatever price and sell all if thats what you want.  =/

Lightning network is useless for mass adoption without turning bitcoin into an exact replica of the banking system that already exists, but that's probably their goal.  In the end, bugmen and cucks will get BTFO and silver and gold will win no matter how many jew shills try to push their cashless society slave system.

Can't veto a solution without offering a better one.

Can anyone give me a hint why GDAX has been the bearish exchange the last couple of days?

The spread is over $100 now, between GDAX and everyone else. Dunno WTF is going at Coinbase. Strange.

coinbase is in deepshit with it's biggest customers now it has been revealed they were actively working to undermine the bitcoin network with their willfully negligent transaction spam ... which big bitcoin holders would trade/deal or leave money, fiat or btc, with a potentially rogue operation like that?

Coinbase is probably the Mt. Gox of our time, same defaulted story rhyme with a different theme twist. Although Karpeles did have a crack against developers just before Mt. Gox finally confessed to the scale of their malfeasance. I wouldn't put myself in any position that has coinbase as a counter-party, fuck that, they are completely untrustworthy, bitcoin-transaction incompetent assholes, imho.

I think Coinbase is kidna strange, not adding xrp but then reminding users to pay their btc taxes. But Max Keiser reccomended coinbase. So I use it now. Also offers the Shift debit card. Would be nice if they added a few currencies for their traders. Dunno what could be holding up the show.

Are you trying to claim this statement isn't true?  It's probably the most factually accurate statement ever written:

It's a good strategy when you have groups of people attempting to act as "white people stalkers" to follow them around and act as parasites on them.  Whites and asians seem to build the best civilizations, while most people regard white women as looking the best.  So the monkeys try to get into the white civilization to displace the white inhabitants and take their stuff + women.  You would need to be a super cuckold to want that to happen, so it seems like a good idea calling them monkeys to let them know they're not wanted to keep them out.

Well, it appears in the 17th and 18th centuries, they were more than wanted in the Americas. There was even a market set up to import them into the new colonies for labor.

Oh please, you should know better than trying to pull the slavery card on me.  That only works on delusional liberals that know zero about history.  Slavery isn't even a racial thing.  Every race has had slaves and there were more white slaves in Rome than there ever were black slaves in America.  I guess that means black people need to give whites reparations since whites had more slave relatives?

The blacks that have attempted to do the research claim the slave trade in America was mostly run by Jews, not whites, using the Jews own recordbooks to confirm it:

https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Relationship-Between-Blacks-Jews/dp/0963687700

That would make sense as the majority of Jews in the civil war were...drumroll...in the confederacy.  Who or what was responsible for slavery is irrelevent, though.  That is of no concern for people who were born in the 20th century. We only have the cards we are dealt and have to respond accordingly to wild monkeys roaming the streets trying to rape and murder everything they see like in this video Google attempts to artificially rig the views downwards on:

Black immigrants in France punch white girl in face for not sharing her telephone number
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxGCPuQY8As

The thing you are confused about is that most blacks in America are something like 20% white, so their behavior, IQ, and other features varies dramatically.  The ones they're importing from the Congo into places like France in that video are 100% black and just straight up murder monkeys.  You know, the same kind they have in South Africa where after they hold an election, whoever wins the election then goes from town to town cutting BOTH hands off of people who voted for the other party with a machete, men and women.

Well said... the globalists know Europeans like freedom and hate authroity more than most, so they are #1 on the extermination / submission list of world domination and mass enslavement.

Fucking awful, it’s great knowing that in a certain amount of time (6 momths, a year, who knows) the price will almost inevitably rise but it’s kind of heartbreaking waking up to a $500 dump seemingly every fucking day.

Well India decided to ban bitcoin today. I really think this is a globalist coordinated attack on Bitcoin. They just got finished meeting in Davos. The regularity of these "ban bitcoin" articles is perfect to reinforce the bear market. But hey at least you'll have a chance for cheap coins this February. Chinese new year starts on the 15th or so. Get that fiat ready! I have serious FOMO now after having to sell my 6.7 BTC back in 2015 cuz I had no money. So now i'm ready to make amends =D (albeit already invested as we speak)

Some guy had a graph earlier showing it was 7500...

The infinite growth charts are made by pump and dump scammers.  In the past, the bottom trendlines usually correlated somewhat with current cost of production, so when it imploded down to that level, the big miners themselves would take a risk and buy coins to prop up the market and prevent themselves from mining at a loss.  In this runup from $1000 to $20,000, the cost of production didn't go up much at all - only to like $3000.  So if you were actually going by history, that's where it would bounce from.  The $7500 number is completely arbitrary with no basis in reality.

Yea... could be. Well mining industry will be feeling this if it doesn't rebound regardless. I hope they will sell the s9 at a lower price at least... or else it will be a overpriced heater.

How come nobody’s talking about this coordinated attack on bitcoin? Has nobody noticed that all the nations of the world and all the governments of the world are working together on a schedule to bring down the price of bitcoin? Everybody is banning it every other day and they are predicting this in predicting that and trying to destroy cryptocurrency. Why isn’t anyone talking about that?  I Understand this thread is about speculating on price but I see people going off topic ...and in my opinion this is the most interesting thing happening it’s very clear that all the governments of the world are working together on this.  Bitcoin is now a symbol of resistance to the Chinese communist government!  I wouldn’t be surprised if there are inquisitions soon for people who were holding bitcoin / crypto in China!  And as we see other governments responding in kind you have a shape of the New World order coming right out of the shadows for everybody to see.  Those of the people who run our world! And it says in the Bible the devil runs the world! These people are who the Bible was talking about!  Take the acronym FUD fear uncertainty doubt does that sound like something God for angels are trying to inspire?  Who do you think rules through fear: God or the devil?

http://www.scmp.com/business/banking-finance/article/2132009/china-stamp-out-cryptocurrency-trading-completely-ban

Does anyone really think that bringing down the price of bitcoin is going to end bitcoin in some way I don’t think so...

Actually its quite insignificant. There is no new ban. It’s just their normal internet site blocking protocal. Everyone uses vpn to trade already. When that goes. Yea. Then something will happen.  China has been banning everything crypto for a year now. Nobody is impressed after 50th time the boy cries wolf. Goddamn commies must think crypto is a weapon of mass destruction against their commie lukewarm puke. Probably right. Maybe the CIA made it to rob chinks of their debt backed mao bucks. The pitch to new investors (where price appreciation to 25k is going to come from)

It's not too late to tell your parents to buy physical silver instead.

Ouch...

That happened in my old hometown (Malmö) the other day. She was groped by an immigrant in a nightclub called Babel and slapped the guy. Later when she was going home the guy waited for her outside and smashed a bottle in her face, bystanders intervened but the guy got away before the police arrived.
That's one of the reasons I moved to another town.

Malmö must be one big shitfest.

Sweden was just simply incredible naive with all that muslim immigrant stuff.

You are absolutely right, used to be a nice  town  though.

Think that way, you glorious holy christs came to their countrys, destroyed everything, killed their parents, grandparents, children, left nothing behind, no infrastructure, no stone on an other. You holy people thought you can get their oil and land just by bringing "democracy". But nothing on this planet is for free.
The crusades were a response to 400 years of muslim attacks. We should just glass them, wipe them off the planet. Nobody except muslims would care or notice.

Protip the second of the day: Look up the muslim invasion of India.

Yea it's intolerable situation... these same people allowing this invasion are the ones trying to crash bitcoin.

Here, some graph to support my earlier post (sorry I'll talk in €).

So this is how uncertain we are (and yup, that's some sort of symetry we have here since the bullrun).
My prediction is, if we break the 7k€ resistance, we will go pretty much straight to the next ~9k€ resistance zone, maybe in the top of it, or maybe break it and go beyond.
We may stay in this resistance for some time.
If we bounce, from the 7k€ resistance, we may go back go 5k€ and bounce again (unlikely, given the volume we had sub 5k€).

Here you go

In theory the futures market is so producers (miners) can lock in the sale price of their goods (BTC) when produced in the future, and companies with a future need to consume BTC can hedge against soaring prices.

Of course it doesn’t work that way in reality.

Assuming another leg down?  Which I assume that you are assuming such other leg down would be below $6k?

Don't you got ur selfie no more money left for buying?

I am assuming that if we get anywhere near $6k, perhaps even breaking below $6,666  (that one is for you Torque-ster).. then the next support would be in the $3k to $4k price range.. which is fucking low.. ... .. so certainly, I am also hoping that support from here down to $6,666 is going to be able to stand up... and we are not breaking lower than $6,666.. Get out your HODL and your BUYDL.. ammunition, peeps.

I assume anything above $6k is a house of cards.

O.k..... Then you must have already sold then?

Or are you going to ride out this supposed bad situation with faith that you do not believe in?

I personally believe that support from here down to $6,666 is a lot greater than you are making it out to be, in part based on the amount of trade volume that already had taken place to reverse at our most recent $6k bottom...

Surely, nothing is inevitable, but seems that we should be prepared to HODL and BUYDL, like I already mentioned... and thereafter everything will be just fine... that's my tentative working plan.   Wink

While there may be trading between currencies a buy into crypto is a buy into bitcoin. The battle is for cryto as a whole as I see it.

Why would anybody give a rat's ass about regulation when decentralized exchanges are on the horizon? For the very first time in history regulators won't be able to dictate their rule upon citizens.

Yea that sounds very interesting i’ll have to read about what that means... how they work etc.

Woohoo! Reversal is near!

Close to a Morning Star pattern in the weekly:

Yea amazingly it broke the downward trend it appears on the weekly.

So our bottom is a very steep foundation. No double testing! When u got a goji star like that, macd crossing, and fib line. That looks bullish.

It means that they can't be taken down, because just like Bitcoin they would be a distributed peer to peer platform. The details are more complex, with atomic swaps and whatnot, but basically you'd be trading with people directly via smart contracts, which would actually be safer than traditional exchanges as well due to the abolishment of counterparty risk (as long as there's no Parity style fuck ups).

I looked into it a bit and it looks awesome. But I’m still not sure how you get fiat in and out of the exchange if it’s decentralized. Sure u can do p2p fiat transactions like on localbitcoin but beyond that I don’t see how u could cash out so easily unless u find one person who wants all your coin ur selling.

Nice little $100 pump just now, let's see if there's enough momentum to take us over $9k

I think the true driver of BTC prices upward is price stability. People see it as a store of value so it becomes valuable. Prices going up also drives prices up from FOMO, but these investors are pump and dumpers they don’t want crypto, they want fiat! HODLers are the ones who actually buy Bitcoin to have it and only use it in dire or unusual situations.

This is sad, but so true! Yet it can die from another coin. With so much heaviness in BTC, I believe that if for even one day XRP or ETH close with higher market cap than BTC, people will start jumping ship without second thoughs.

More sellers than buyers.

  True story.

Let's not let facts get in the way of speculation:
Europe and America are asleep. Asia reacts to morning fud by selling off a bit at lunchtime.

I think the Chineses are manipulating the market, pulling prices down, but it is only my assumption.

Chinese defiantly want bitcoin to fail. Poor chinks. Probably should be nuked like Japan, then they'll rebuild a democracy and become allies.  Cheesy Chinese use a national ID for everything from buying a train ticket to breathing the free air. Can't buy and sell without one. Can't get one unless you're Chinese. The country is 99.9% Chinese. There is zero diversity. They like to pretend there are all these different ethnic groups in China. No. It's like comparing North Dakota to Florida and calling that different ethnic groups. They're all Chinese all look Chinese, and all love Mao the mass murdering psychopath. Oh also if you have a product like Facebook they'll rip it off and rebrand it into a Chinese version and then ban your product. They do that for everything from Rolex watches to F-22s. Also they spit everywhere and stand and piss in public places. They call me 外国人. Which means "outsider" or "foreigner" and i'm truly flattered to be branded so.  Cheesy

Let me try a different angle.

Do you see how the judges decision to force the man in question to pay for the child support of three children that are not biologically his own with a court order could set a precedent for some women to seek out men out of which they'd essentially extort child support by simply playing nice for a period of time?

I believe this falls under caveat emptor.

Bitcoin dominance now 41.7%, increasing daily. If this continues, Ethereum and many altcoins might get in further trouble. I'm guessing segwit is playing out a role here, I still don't expect bitcoin to get dominance of 60%+ again though.

Bitcoin seems to be stabilizing at $11,000, and looking bullish. I'd not be surprised if it surpasses $12,000 within the next 2 days.

Ethereum's only use case is vulnerable smart contracts with no use case. It is and always has been an exploding clown car. Your mileage may vary tho

I think Eth is awesome. I invest in altcoins also. I’m not a Bitcoin gangster, but I know bitcoin will always be the reserve currency of the cryptouniverse. I like Eth’s smart contracts, and decentralized apps are a brilliant idea expanding out of the blockchain. I like how I can sell on local eth for example and never risk having my coins “stolen” like Steve Wozniak recently did with his 7 BTC (I heard local bitcoin has something like this too but I dunno) (You’d not expect a smart guy like this to get scammed online). Many altcoins are garbage. But I think some ICOs are good investments for real world companies. Bitcoin has to compete. I’m sure it will be #1 HODL probably forever, unless some kind of technical issue ruins it.

Yea. I don’t like Neo. First of all dumb name & very cliche. And the logo: very corporate and boring looking, kinda doesn’t signal anything to me, no meaning, except that it’s trying to look techno and referncing the movie “The Matrix”. Secondly, it’s a “stock”? Apparently you can’t divide up a Neo, and instead what you do is stake it for the “gas”? And like the OP said there, why is it a “chinese ethereum”? Chinese always do this, they take something someone else made, rip it off and make it “Chinese”. Well. Thats when I run to the exit. Not only is that weird nationalitic self-obsession, but it also means it’s Walmart. Also if it’s Chinese why are they using a latin word that means “new”? Is latin going to be ripped off for Chinese also? And why not just get the real Ethereum? Is there something wrong with that one? If Chinese are better than Vitalik, why didn’t they invent it first?

dude

you're fucked

It seems like almost any of us can get tempted into selling a bunch of BTC when the price is dropping so fast..

When it is happening, it seems like no bottom, and after about the third or fourth leg down, you can become so fucking tempted to sell - and that frequently can end up being the bottom.

But, yep, could be that the bottom is in.. .  I hope so.  Probably we need to wait for 20 more hours or so, just to be clear that all of the dumpers have had their dumping go at it... and to ensure we are actually done with the dumping, this time around.

Currently, i do have a sense that the dumping is not over, yet.. but what do I know?

Actually i never feel like selling when its going down. I feel like HODL. I only feel like selling if I’m green. Red? I’d rather die. I’ve done it before and i’m never. Ever. Doing it again.

I don't see any need to denigrate people who may have found various ways to make money other than your own chosen way.

Yes, there certainly are valid criticisms of financial sector employment, but some of the systematic incentives should not necessarily be held against all individuals who partake in such kind of employment, even though some personalities or types of traders might be more annoying than other types.

I do like to refer to traditional banking institution manipulators as fucktards, so maybe I am contradicting myself to some degree when I attempt to suggest that there are quite a variety of traders and they should not all be lumped together and opposed to your profession (whatever that may be).

Look at it this way: do you want bitcoin or not? If you do buy, if you don’t sell. But make a choice. I can underetand wanting more fiat in order to get more bitcoin. But using bitcoin to get fiat, is kinda missing the point. 100% trading isn’t good for the market either with your money or time. Its not good for the economy, we need to be producing something of value in the umwelt to increase the value of our coin investments. If we are worthless, so is our bitcoin. Bitcoin can’t be an economy of basement dwellers and whales.

I have never been so sure in my life that bitcoin was going to go bullish early march. I was approaching 99% sure of my bullish sentiment. And I'm not usually wrong. I'm willing to admit when I dont know, which is often, but when I decide that I do know I have always been right. That kick in the teeth of being not just a little bit wrong but so extraordinarily 100% 180 degrees wrong sent me from the most bullish I have ever been to the most bearish. At this point I'm waiting for a retest of 6k atleast.

It really really really should have been off to the races from like the third of this month. This pullback should not have been as dramatic as it was...

What was your thesis for a March pump?

'Standard View'

BTC ran up 10,000%, a massive multi-year correction is then absolutely necessary. Given the increase in infrastructure and adoption the most likely effect is a shallower, longer winter. (The more something represents the entire system the slower it moves, economies move in decades long cycles, BTC could have month long cycles starting out. Lows around -75-80% off the ATH.

'Miracle 2013 style double top'

We ran out of new suckers, that is why the price stopped going up. Double top would need:

-New even larger wave of speculators. Coinbase was the #1 app, on TV every night, major exchanges in all countries with rich speculators. The next level up requires infrastructure that is years away at best
-Belief that 100k is possible. No one will pay 20 unless they think someone will pay 40, 40 buyer needs to believe in 80 buyer coming etc. A drop to 6k erodes this
-All the stuck bagholders have to get even or accept their losses, this places a huge ask capping any rallies

Nah... ppl buy without knowing where its going. If it goes past 12k ppl will buy cuz it could hit 13k... etc. fact that it hit 20k means people expect it to be able to hit 40k or 60k. The fact that we are still above 1200 is itself a huge sign of potential, 3 month Downward trendlines notwithstanding. Bitcoin price is still higher than gold price (oz). That is a insane reality.

No no no.. this is too fast.. You never milk a bitcoiner for it's tears too quickly, or else it will get stressed and will stop producing tears. What you do is make them cry just a little to get you satisfied and then you wait until the subject is rested and recharged and then you repeat the process. Overall yield for tears is times bigger like this.

8500?

Show me one functional utility token which has real users and is more than just a currency.  One.

This is a joke how predictable these bcash monkeys are.  Looking at fork.lol the Bitcoin hash rate is falling and bcash lol hashrate is rising.   Hash attack, right on schedule.

Hang onto your hats and remember it’s only going to last the weekend.

Honestly Bcash doesn’t offer anything except a larger block size. If u are going to fork bitcoin apparently Bitcore is the one to go for. Maybe bitcoin gold and I like that one cuz it’s got the ASIC resistance.

Unexpected eh? FUD suppressed 100%, BCH hashrate menace vanished and all. I am also slightly surprised, but actually not that much. There were too many of us predicting a regular weekend dump and then on Monday blah blah - starting from me! It's not like "I knew, y'all clueless morons!"

Now let's be paranoid for a while - as a thought exercise. If I were a nasty whale - bear or bull is no fit category for such beasts - I'd try to fool the average noncontrarian smart traders who think they've got it all figured out - yes, that's me. And I don't feel I am alone. How would I go about that? Just the opposite of what's predicted by the smart herd of cows. Let her go up, up. No weekend dump, see, nice eh? Moon coming, hehe. A slightly better than average Monday... and then a brutal dive on Tuesday or Wednesday. That's when a short hedge can have your back and piss off the whale.

Just thinkin' aloud. Food for debate.

Yes, but why?

Exactly. There is no option for stability and keeping present value. It either has to expand, or it will start shrinking very quickly. It's really like a pyramid scheme in that manner.
If coin production would cost less, then the price would drop as long as the speculators are selling and then it would stop. With high production costs it won't stop, but will squeeze every juice out of this thing as possible.

There is stability for those who bought at 250.
They couldn’t care less if it was 20k or 7k.
But, People invest in bitcoin because of the volitility.

I don’t care if mining plantations go into debt.
They don’t have to do that.  But the price of mining sets the bottom price of bitcoin’s value.
If it goes below yea they have to either get a loan or stop mining. Thus the price will either bottom or go down and bring difficulty down.

Now since that level has been thoroughly raped and rejected I figure 5900 is the only hope.

But then again... i’m down more than i’m up.

While its obvious we are in a bear market, I am pretty sure that this stupid DEATH CROSS is going to TROLL bears hard, since every moron on bitcointalk keeps talking about it like its the holy grail. The market already went down 70%. This death cross is a little late to the party.

Its stuff like this that comes back to haunt traders. They get a little too cocky with moving averages and then - boom - liquidation up the ass.

Something to look forward to in the future.

For EXAMPLE, if you go and look the dreaded "death cross" during the last bear market, it crossed, then the market RALLIED 100% and it uncrossed, and then when it crossed again it was early Sept 2014 and the bottom was reached 6 MONTHS LATER. And then we started a bull market.

So sorry if I am not scared of this big scary "death cross." lol

Basically, if we want to interpret this literally like the dreaded horrible 2014 bear, now that we death crossed we should rally to $14k and go down to $4-5k ten months later and that'll be the bottom. OH NO's, not the "death cross"!

You are right... the Bear market I remember in 2015 seems to show now it had little correlation to the moving averages.. after a "golden cross" the price dumped to 180.... then there was another death cross and it made no difference... finally the last golden cross the market seemed to correlate to it. But not exactly. Bitcoin isn't a stock...

If indicators would be relaiable it would be too easy... We learned that the hard way. Just HODL, 1BTC = 1BTC until it is sold.

I think there are layers of complexity. First layer is indicators. But one thing u can’t predict or control is 🐳

Leave the American alone. It's like arguing about the colour of the sky.

Not all of US Americans are packing heat.

That's because so many of us have to pass through "gun free" zones. Making ourselves vulnerable to mass shooters.

Tahiti is a “gun free” zone.  You aren’t vulnerable to mass shooters in Tahiti.  Because they have gun control.

So is Mexico.   Cheesy

I Believe that the price is beeing manipulated up by whales, i have been watching bitfinex orderbook and there are many large buys of 50+ coins when price drops a little. Dont you Think that they are running up the price towards the Death Cross to dump it when it crosses? Tone Vays has talked alot of that you shouldn't short the Death Cross if the price is below it. So i belive they run it up towards it so they will be able to dump it.

What do you think of my theory?

I also see that markets allover the World are crumbeling, maby next financial crisis is here, so this i bullish.

It already crossed a few days ago. Right now bears are getting rekt. But they will never admit it. They say they are in control.

No if you look at the previous crosses they are not really that major factor in bitcoin price. You can correlate them a few months after the fact but they don't create immediate panics. It's overhyped it seems. This death cross is almost like a bear trap. Serves them right.

Last week was a pretty tough for BTC when its open price was 8445 , went up a little bit to 8499 but then went down pretty fast and close at 6816. Big bear was rolling like a ball last week plus a high vol that showed us sellers took over the market. Today, stoch just got over the oversell area but probably it can't go a lot higher, anyway BTC would goes up a little bit. The BB also gives the same signal when the price touched the lower BB and start going to the middle one.

Just my personal and amateur opinion, I look forward to hearing from different pro here!

Daily Stoch is the one to look at IMHO unless you are day trading. On the 1 day chart we are just now reversing upward.

We will probably break out of this downtrend from 11700 in a couple days.

Chinese hive mind communists think Bitcoin is all about them. Chinese have a narcissistic obsession with being Chinese, especially since they've lost all their ancient knowledge to their new Communist masters. They are clueless about their own roots, just like us in the west due to the institutional destruction of ancient European culture. So in attempt to have meaning in life they make themselves the center of all things that happen in the universe. Thus the actual belief that Bitcoin is about China, about trying to steal China's money. It just gives you a glimpse into the mania and delusion these people sustain as reality every day. As a Sino individual your only identity is pretty much your nationality and position in that collective. Thus the toxic nationalism to make up for it.

This was probably written in Chinese and used a translator to convert it to English. Seems the guy is a "conspiracy theorist" but not seeing the most obvious conspriacy that of his own central government (designed by non-Chinese).  Cheesy

NOW I look at it after the dump and it shows we NEVER went above 40 and bounced off it instead. So that means the RSI on Trading view is dishonest.

If I had pictures of the RSI earlier today I could prove that. But I know what I saw.
I was never going to go long if the RSI bounced off 40.. It was above 40.
I don't watch it all day, but once it's above 40 the only way to get back below it is to have it fall below.

WTF TRADINGVIEW.COM?!?  Huh

It dropped because the goddamn RSI bounced off 40... but this morning it was above fucking 40. I even posted about it. Fucking tradingview RSI indicator on the daily was telling a lie.

Rsi pushing above 40 resistance. Looks bullish.

Now if you look at the RSI it shows it bounced off 40... HOW THE FUCK? THEY REDREW THE LINE IN THE PAST??  Huh Huh Huh Huh

ONCE THE LINE IS ABOVE 40 YOU CAN'T THEN MAKE IT GO BELOW IN THE PAST!

The Indicator must be averaging and redrawing after the fact. Thats totally crap.

I sent a message to Tradingview.com about this.

You realize these graphs are not carved in stone, they are just pixels on your screen?

I'm gonna see what people at trading view say. If it has some kind of recursive re-averaging after the day is complete that would explain it. The RSI bouncing off 40 is defiantly the reason for the drop, and it was breaking above this morning at about 41.8 or so, but the cell was only half done, so now finishing the daily it actually re-drew the whole motherfucker. I didn't know it did that.

Eitherway i'm done trading. I'm just HODLing and re-selling on Localbitcoin / Ether now. Shit needs to work right. Can't trust tradingview's data.

Sudden $200 drop anyone?

Yes,

Threshold we can't break is still falling.

A week ago it was 7,5k, now it's 7k

Also Alts are rising and BTC dominance is decreasing once again.

Not looking good from my point of view.

We still haven’t seen double bottom. Miners and some other runts are propping up the bitcoin price. It’s not worth what its priced at. We got no reference points. The last low was a while back. And why is this bitcoin worth more than that one? It’s not at all clear.

We either gotta double bottom and break the downtrend or hit new low and then try again.

$6666 is critical. Shorting before then was premature. So are you hodling now?

Holding mostly altcoin now... very little bitcoin lost 70% or more trading. Same story from 2015...

It's real seductive thinking you can jump in on those long candle panics, but for some reason you can't. I tried it twice today at least. It never works. It is indeed sorcery.

Uh no asshole that was me noting that the RSI doesn't stay where it is on the daily chart even though it says daily, but changes all throughout the day. Fuck you.

I’m always wrong but we are bouncing off the 70 rsi 9680 fib retracement level. I’d suggest putting in your bids at support levels. 9100, 8800, 8500, 8300, 7800, 7400, 7200, 6800, 6500, 6000, 5800 etc.

Dude, you can't ask for a refund for that. It is you who didn't have enough margin to cover that small and "normal" volatility. It happened to me some years ago (BFX hack crash on Kraken), noone to blame except me, I learned the lesson. Move on.

No no no. I had a stop. Not liquidation. Stop loss everyone has to have it.
Yes I can ask for a fuking refund. But they won’t give one becuause they are crooks!

And no that isn’t normal volititily. Only Bitfinex. And that should not be allowed, to market dump the price from 9500 to 8750 in 1 order just to get Bitfinex rich on trading volume due to stop losses. They gotta titrate that shit. Dude, you can buy again at 5% loss now, or at 20-30-50% loss later. Who puts stop limit at the beginning of an extended bull run btw? This is a lesson for all shorters. Next time buy hardware wallet and just HODL!

I did buy again. I already withdrew everything from bitfinex. I think i lost about 30%, i was in the green driving home from work, then I get home and hear “ding” sold at 8790. Cuz Bitfinex doesn’t care. I’m gonna sign up for another exhange Poloniex or gemini (but i dunno if i’m rich enough). I hope bitfinex gets shut down, Bitmex too. I liked bitfinex, used em back in 2015. But they don’t serve their users unless they are members of whale clubs. These scam artists even got kicked out of scam capital: China. Fuck them. They are market makers, someone should stop them. It’s ruining crypto. It’s bad enough it’s a 1% currency, u shoudn’t have to deal with this as well. We want to decentralize don’t we? Yes there are those accumulation zones but that isn't a straight up and down it's a set of 4 hour candles, so it's not hit bottom yet. Bottom is easy to spot usually. It's a price that the ticker cannot go below and it's there for an extended period. A bounce I guess is different.

I've been wondering why someone has been buying truckloads of ETH at gemini's auction for weeks now. This could be the answer, a HUGE ETH short position coming. Especially if the SEC rules that ETH is in fact a security.

Also Andrew Left is a tool.

Everyone is talking about a Bull market, but this is not yet one. I'm just waiting for a clear signal. A drop from 9700 doesn't cut it unless it's a formation like Head and shoulders inverse... but that can't happen until we hit 8500... and these stubborn bulls won't let it go down, or maybe its' the bears switching sides?

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/P36a8S5g-Bitcoin-Hourly-Bearish-Hidden-Divergence/

This guy is calling it bearish... but I thought you follow the oscillator? Isn't this bullish? The RSI is up while the chart is down therefore buy?

OK another attempt upwards... if we don't claim 9700 or 10k we will retrace to what 8k?

That was quite a volume spike... I guess not the biggest though.

$9,333 on Stamp - Can we break $9,500, feels a long time since we even saw above that price.

By some point this weekend, looking forward to breaking 9500  Cool

Why wait...  lol. These bulls are stubborn mother fuckers.

oooh... almost... maybe later.

Some guy thinks this is a golden cross and went all in.

I guess nobody else saw that when it dropped from 10k.  Roll Eyes

Well..lets see where we stop..thinking $8.85k but I am slightly intoxicated

Kinda confused on the terminology seems others are as well. When the price goes up but the indicator sas its getting weaker this is a “bullish” or “bearish” “divergence”? I understand the indicator is what you follow, but some people call it bullish when it’s down on the indicator and bearish when it’s up.

Kinda confusing cuz a bullish divergence is bearish but a bearish divergence is bullish?

This site says its bullish if the indicator is going up with price down and visa versa: https://www.babypips.com/learn/forex/divergence-cheat-sheet

I think the confusion is with weather it’s “hidden”or not.

Good morning Ladies and Gent's
Some of the things I am looking at on the chart. We appear to be setting up for an actual weekend pump after a few more bars of relative sideways action. The bounce off the cloud instead of a twist is telling me that support is building at these levels and any dip in that area might turn into a "relaxing" pattern instead of a dump.

Although prior years never had the futures markets grab 'em by the mee-ow...

So you are suggesting we pass the buck to another poor fool while we cash out at the top?
That's immoral.

 Shocked

On Judgement day when God returns to Earth he will ask you: "and did you sell your bitcoin?" and you shall say: "No God, i'd never do such a thing I only buy bitcoin and HODL and pass out bits to the poor after a rally" Then god will allow you into his kingdom. But if you say "Yes God I sold at every rally and bought every dip" God will say: "you betrayed the bitcoin HODL commandment.. thus you shall burn in the fires of hell forever.

Any wall street involvement with public cryptos is a ploy to get inside and take them down, like with the futures.

I'll second that. They will be aiming for control in the same way as gold and silver markets are controlled.

Note, however, that "take them down" and "control" are two completely different objectives. Control can just as easily mean to "take them up", as in to the moon.  Wink

As immoral as trading freshly harvested baby brains.  Cheesy

Actually it's maybe not immoral... apparently the Quran had some issues with bitcoin...(but I don't regard it as a real source of guidance anyway) but the Bible tells you to go get interest and multiply your wealth... So I dunno... I was joking... but I do question the morality of traders in this market. Especially the Bitfinex stop loss hunters... they probably belong in the crevice of doom.

I like this one:

"Proverbs 28:20 A faithful man will abound with blessings, but he who makes haste to be rich will not go unpunished." I felt that punishment... In attempting to recover my losses I try trading... only to get raped by fees. So I gave up on scalping and ping ponging...

I feel like if we don't break 9400 in the next 12 hours it'll be time to sell...  Lips sealed

That bull flag is looking good though. I don't think anything is gonna stop it. It should break in less than 12 hours or it'll be too late to sell  Cheesy.

Hey guys... seriously...

is this a bull flag or a rising wedge?
