I have a viable explanation for what is going on on Gox charts, some dude early adopter sold shitload of coin at 1200 and programmed the bot in Amazon cloud to trigger when the price goes under 300$ without deadman switch and than died.
The bot is selling, not buying. It's also been on way before gox went below 300.

Doge Coin is a gimmick, the only lesson here is that there is still an opportunity for a new coin to gain a huge userbase fast.
I think the huge number of alts now has helped secure bitcoins position.. I just don't think we'll see mass migration to another coin with so many to choose from.

We are still within the secret descending triangle of DOOM. The doom-train seems to be running out of coal and an upside breakout during or over the weekend seems likely. Tomorrow is Friday so it does depend a bit on how low the end-of-the-week sell-off takes us but I'm optimistic that $600 will hold.

The sentiment on this thread is interesting. The people who bought into the rally today seem upset that the price didn't go up more when if they were capable of sustaining a rally they would be happy the price is going down so they could accumulate more coins. I don't yet see any signs of new capital infusion. Such low volume on a Friday night seems to indicate we're going to have a week end dip.
I have my theory about low volume
but for now maybe I will keep it to myself.
I am so sure that in next 10h we will see ~+30$ that I can almost bet on it

Well Bitcoin performed very well for a falling-friday and is still holding strong on a sell-of-saturday. Let's see what happens tomorrow and on monday. Everything can happen, but I'm quite optimistic. It somehow feels a lot better than the whole last month!

We're just above the Rule of thirds and just below the Yuan magic number 4000 in a tight superstitious zone. China is slightly bearish and the West is slightly bullish. Summer is coming and usually that means good announcements.
I agree that summer should bring up a lot more ++ than last half of a year together.
Yuan 4000 is something to beat up easily and they cannot keep it up under forever... My predictions are mostly not really good but I think that until the weekend we will be above 4000.

This isn't looking too bad. Don't count on panic buying quite yet, but we're getting there... Too lazy to screen cap it now, but take a look at the 6h or 2h chart. Beautiful, almost uninterrupted move upwards, and not mean reversion momentum driven, which means it actually counts for something.
Real test is getting to the previous top at $616 though. Any chance we'll get there in 24h?
Perhaps not really ... well we never know when it is going to happen ... but I think not in next 24h...
If I would predict anything I would say - a drop till monday to $550, and $650 till next Friday.
