On a market level, Bakkt isn’t going to change things straight away, but in terms of institutional mainstream adoption, Bakkt really does have the opportunity to bring Bitcoin to the fore, through their plans to offer an institutional grade cryptocurrency exchange.
As an initial component of the Bakkt offering, Intercontinental Exchange’s U.S.-based futures exchange and clearing house plan to launch a 1-day physically delivered Bitcoin contract along with physical warehousing in November 2018, subject to CFTC review and approval.

I think we all have to accept that last year was a wild fucking ride. Bitcoin has & does have wild swings when we fall massive %’s from ATH’s.

Seems a bit ironic that we get some fairly strong negative news about fundamental weakness in bitcoin (sloppy coding), and dodging a bullet, as you put it, bones, and then subsequent to that we get a $200 plus pump. Hopefully, this is not a bull trap, but surely I can understand forcing the closing of some shorts, and also just a whole bitcoin market dynamic in which bitcoin can go through extended periods of doing the opposite of what seems logical.

There seems to be a continued and ongoing drag on the BTC price potential, and that is a seeming need to shake some of the froth out of alt coins. Perhaps some of that alt froth shaking dynamics is already priced into the BTC price charts, but I question how that could be?

Infofront, are you really meriting Eliott Wavers? It's impossible for them to be correct because so much market activity is simply long and short squeezes. If they are counting on some random bullshit to happen at X count, but the entire market is on the same side of the trade and long or short there, then the market is going the exact opposite way.
Personally, I know traders who work with Waves really nice. You have to keep all the possible scenarios in your head.

Currently Bitcoin seems to be confined to the channel above. It managed to break the midline today and could find support on top of it in the next 12-48 hours and that would be great. The one thing I am being weary off still is the large rising wedge that everyone seems to have forgotten about since we had the bounce yesterday. It is possible still that this pump was simply the retest of the rising wedge and we could see a massive dump into and over the weekend. definitely not saying this will happen, BUT better to be prepared and cautious than rekt by an unexpected dump
