Interesting news, but everybody pays all attention to ETF
This one probably even equal to them
August marked the launch of Bakkt, a new blockchain and cryptocurrency project that nurtures involvement from mainstream companies such as Microsoft and Starbucks. The essence of Bakkt is that it could inspire a great deal of institutional investment and could make things like Bitcoin ETF applications far more likely to be improved. On a market level, Bakkt isn’t going to change things straight away, but in terms of institutional mainstream adoption, Bakkt really does have the opportunity to bring Bitcoin to the fore, through their plans to offer an institutional grade cryptocurrency exchange.
As an initial component of the Bakkt offering, Intercontinental Exchange’s U.S.-based futures exchange and clearing house plan to launch a 1-day physically delivered Bitcoin contract along with physical warehousing in November 2018, subject to CFTC review and approval.imo, This is

Cboe is telling market makers that it's close to launching ether futures — and it could mark a big step in the crypto's evolution
Cboe Global Markets, the exchange behind the first market for bitcoin futures, is telling market makers it is close to rolling out futures for ether, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, people familiar with the situation told Business Insider. The product may launch by the end of 2018, one of the people said. http://uk.businessinsider.com/ether-futures-on-the-way-at-cboe-2018-8

Do people really rely on the 4 hour for anything quasi-long term? Wouldn't we need to look at least daily candles? Maybe 12 hour might be acceptable in certain circumstances, perhaps? but my point is that longer term needs to be longer candles.. and I am thinking daily at least.
daily signals sometimes are too slow

Perhaps your two charts demonstrate that you can compare anything as long as you tweak the time lines?
I'm not saying that it will be the same price action
But at least it's interesting ) For those who like such kind of comparison

Network fundamentals have slowly started to turn the corner since April, as the need for network scalability has ebbed since December. Increasing transaction Batching, SegWit adoption, and Lightning Network use all represent improved network efficiency compared to one year ago. The continued rise in hash rate also suggests the network is more secure than ever from attempts at reversing transactions or double-spending coins. Bitcoin has also been increasingly in the public eye, with ongoing adoption in Asia, and emerging markets Turkey and Venezuela, out of necessity.
Technicals show a strong chance of a continued march towards US$11,000 in the coming weeks as suggested by the Wyckoff roadmap. In the near term, a pause or pullback to ~US$7,000 is likely due to weakening bullish momentum on lower timeframes. Ongoing substantial short open interest will provide fuel to create explosive moves higher.https://bravenewcoin.com/news/bitcoin-price-analysis-turning-the-corner/

What bothers me is that SHORTS amount is again almost on ATH
It means that those whales who took them, didn't close them and the price could be dropped even deeper (~6200)
On another hand, so many people now in shorts and marketmakers can suddenly close their shorts and push the price up.

Over the last 16 months, as I've debated this issue around the world, every single time somebody has said to me, "I don't really worry about invasions of privacy because I don't have anything to hide." I always say the same thing to them. I get out a pen, I write down my email address. I say, "Here's my email address. What I want you to do when you get home is email me the passwords to all of your email accounts, not just the nice, respectable work one in your name, but all of them, because I want to be able to just troll through what it is you're doing online, read what I want to read and publish whatever I find interesting. After all, if you're not a bad person, if you're doing nothing wrong, you should have nothing to hide. Not a single person has taken me up on that offer. " — Glenn Greenwald
https://www.ted.com/talks/glenn_greenwald_why_privacy_matters/transcripti look at it this way.. while i may have nothing to hide from the government
right now, who knows what currently legal activity may become illegal in the future? nothing like having decades of data to comb through to jail someone on something they dont like and pass new laws on. or "leaking" legal, but embarrassing data of someone they target and want to discredit.
and im sure all that data is very secure, with no chance of it getting stolen or misused. we all know how good the government is at data security.
I prefer not to publish any compromising information at all
(except some hidden chats in secure messengers like Telegram, but also nothing really compromising)

Seems a bit ironic that we get some fairly strong negative news about fundamental weakness in bitcoin (sloppy coding), and dodging a bullet, as you put it, bones, and then subsequent to that we get a $200 plus pump. Hopefully, this is not a bull trap, but surely I can understand forcing the closing of some shorts, and also just a whole bitcoin market dynamic in which bitcoin can go through extended periods of doing the opposite of what seems logical.

True, If he only had 6k then he could not have made the second purchase.
Since it says he made both purchases he must have had at least 7k to start.
He could lend this money
So he gained 1k from the 1st deal
Then took -1k when he lent
And then again +1k

I doubt that we could have any confidence that the resolution of this matter is necessarily UP.
There seems to be a continued and ongoing drag on the BTC price potential, and that is a seeming need to shake some of the froth out of alt coins. Perhaps some of that alt froth shaking dynamics is already priced into the BTC price charts, but I question how that could be?
No any confidence, this is just one of many different models which were appeared in this internet past days
BUT... alts looks quite bullish. And they affect the market mood in general. MM know smth or want something rn and that's why alts are pumping and that provides more confidence to BTC

I think sideways movement will be continued until mid 2019, more or less (this chart confirms my thoughts)
The fact that shitcoiners ALWAYS expect every single triangle convergence to either result in an explosive move upwards or downwards is a dead giveaway that's it's nothing more than a valueless pump and dump scam. Nobody sees something like oil do a triangle convergence and say, "Okay, looks like oil is about to either go to $1 a barrel or $200." Bitcoin is a fake commodity that's designed to centralize and unable to be anything but a pump and dump, while silver and gold are real money.
indeed. but is it bad? not sure.
this is an additional viewpoint
you only have to expect another scenario in your head.

You're suggesting that the fall in the US stock market is in correlating with the fall on cryptocoin? But in my logic this sell-off should have boosted cryptocoins and gold prices because the money which left the stocks should have gone somewhere. Did everything become cash? Or did the investors who withdrew money from the stocks are waiting to enter the same market?
In any case, I don't think the stock market and the blockchain's prices are correlating.
Actually no.. one day is not enough to suspect any correlations

Infofront, are you really meriting Eliott Wavers? It's impossible for them to be correct because so much market activity is simply long and short squeezes. If they are counting on some random bullshit to happen at X count, but the entire market is on the same side of the trade and long or short there, then the market is going the exact opposite way.
Personally, I know traders who work with Waves really nice. You have to keep all the possible scenarios in your head.

It managed to break the midline today and could find support on top of it in the next 12-48 hours and that would be great. The one thing I am being weary off still is the large rising wedge that everyone seems to have forgotten about since we had the bounce yesterday. It is possible still that this pump was simply the retest of the rising wedge and we could see a massive dump into and over the weekend. definitely not saying this will happen, BUT better to be prepared and cautious than rekt by an unexpected dump
Very weird triangle actually
