Because either we go to the moon and beyond or we don't need to post non-sense about price variations we have been seeing over and over again.

most probable explanation: a coordinated chinese attack to trigger stop-loss-margin-calls.

I agree with you about goal to trigger some stop-loss margin calls, but such dumping does not need to be characterized as either an "attack" nor "chinese."

agreed, but it seems like some planned/coordinated attack to shake out some weak hands or to destroy some margins.

the only question is, to what purpose?

preparing for a takeoff?

I hope so, maybe more volatility will have shorts take positions and then boom..

Since I live in Ecuador I always had to buy bitcoins via PayPal -> Virwox  (It is way to expensive... )

In the past I have tried to buy with my credit card but could not find places that would accept my Master Card since it was issued in Ecuador.
Now it seems that finally I would be able to use my credit card at Bitstamp and buy Bitcons see here:

https://www.bitstamp.net/article/debit-cc-payments-bitcoin-now-extended-beyond-eu/

These type of actions are bringing Bitcoin to more acceptability.  Hooray!

Still the effect of real news is not bigger than the January fall to $800 and lower that happened for no concrete reason, at least until now

I guess the chinese are getting less power in the price, what their next move will be?

Next step would obv be to close a small exchange. Then, after several smaller ones, proceed with the bigger ones.

Then go after the miners. Then go after every retailer that accepts BTC.
That is paranoia extreme.

This is China manipulation to buy more bitcoins cheap.  Drama will be over in a week.

Why would they sell more, and why would they sell at all?
Why would you go to a store to buy goods which you can't take out of the store? Makes perfect sense.

Well, maybe the whole point is to make Chinese volume less frenetic.
less volume, less influence.
their volume will probably go from 40% to 10-20% shortly
It is better for us in the west.
Thanks, China!

The PBOC claims its actions are intended to make Bitcoin price less volatile. Ironically every action it's recently taken has created a huge short term dump.

However, who's going to deposit Bitcoins to an exchange that's frozen withdrawals for the next month? If nobody deposits that's less Bitcoins China can dump to suppress the price.

Bullish.

Too many coincidences just before ETF gets approved..
This way manipulators could buy cheap coins and when ETF gets approved sell a x factor..
Bullish..

Let's play some poker. Is he hiding something? Is it yes or a no? Im sure he knows.

I have a personal theory, I think it will not pass and they have pumped and dumped it to showcase how volatile the market can be (which is a good thing since bitcoin is still tiny, so it means there is an huge upwards potential) but those bureaucrats don't like volatility and will use it as an excuse to not pass it.

Of course, maybe it passes and we are sitting on 3000 by tomorrow... we'll see.

My biggest concern right now is BUcoin and the china Psyops Jihan Wu in order to become the dictator of bitcoin. Hopefully we can get rid of these cunts without killing the entire project in the process.

Fees don't rise.
They are variable ... you MUST survey the mempool to emit at low fees, it's all.

Real fees are calculate from :
- number of transactions in your emitter address
- age of your previous transactions in the emitter address
- mempool staturation

https://www.statoshi.info/dashboard/db/memory-pool
https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin

Interesting but neither link provides any idea of what sort of fees I should aiming.  I have adjusted my wallet to pay 0.0002 per KB and nothing..  In a few hours I will try 0.0003..

Current? The "fee fiasco" is many months old. Meanwhile the price of Bitcoin keeps rising.

I see no reason for it to stop now.

I never had problems in the past until the last two days.  Fees have shut up through the roof!
It looks like my wallet generates transactions at an average of 600 bytes x 0.0000022 btc/byte (https://bitcoinfees.21.co/) = 0.0013 btc * 1580 = $2 per transaction  wtf??
A small transaction of 0.25 BTC used 230 bytes x 0.0000022 x 1580 = $0.79   Shocked

Which fiasco? I am trading all day long and have several feeds open... Haven't read anything about a "fiasco". Source?

No particular source... I am just an average user that is having huge problems getting the BTC transferred from a wallet to an exchange.  That is a fiasco, and from what I have read many other people have the same problem.

Ok, I thought you were refering to something new.

Also I wouldn't consider it a "fiasco". I mean, are you sure the problem isn't in the exchange end?

Have you checked the transaction in blockchain explorer to see if it is already confirmed but the exchange is not acknowledging it?

Did the transaction include a proper fee? Unless you set it up manually, it should be ok though.

Anyways, yes, Bitcoin needs to solve the scaling problem asap. But that is already "discounted" in current price. Once that get solved expect the price to skyrocket.

All the transactions show in bitcoin.info as Unconfirmed.  I have been raising the fees manually because my wallet was sending 0.0001 for all transactions.
In my latest transaction I sent 0.25 with 0.0005 (240 satoshi/byte) but when this gets processed it gets added to another 0.5 BTC and then the fee per byte drops to 96??

Ya. This one has a low (96 sat/B) fee, and 3 inputs so it might be unexpectedly delayed. The following one with the right fee (~220 Sat/B) will not confirm because it tries to spend the unconfirmed output from the delayed one.

edit: just saw that the one you posted has 3 unconfirmed inputs too! You seem to have a basic misunderstanding of how this all works. Smiley

edit2: Ahh. Do you have 'spend unconfirmed change' set in your wallet? That, and a bit of impatience, might have caused this chain of unconfirmed transactions (plus the low fees paid earlier).

a different kind of fiasco it seems.

I have contacted the wallet people but no response except that the fees are too low.. I sent the last transaction with max fees and still nothing.
I am not a dev so I dont understand the techno lingo so well.
Right now I have a total of 7 transactions sent in the last 24 hours with increasing fees but none of them have confirmed!

At this point you need to stop sending more transactions until the previous ones settle. The problem here is that you have sent a transaction that used coins that you just received but were not confirmed before sending again.

Maybe someone has a better solution for this, but I would just wait and next time don't use unconfirmed coins as inputs for sending.

But. but. but...  The coins have been in my wallet for a month at least.
I had an issue in my wallet two months ago when it showed un-confirmed balance.
As per the wallet support people, I emptied my wallet to a new one and then created a new wallet where I sent my coins.  That cleared the unconfirmed balance.
But now a month later when I want to send my coins to an exchange I run into this problem.
Maybe it is a wallet problem..  How to fix it?  I dont want to lose my 12 BTC!

What software wallet are you using?

Also, if you have 12BTC on a software wallet my advice inmediately changes to: Buy a hardware wallet NOW!

Either Ledger Nano S or Trezor.

And for your current problem, make sure you have copy of the seed words and/or backup the wallet. Wait for transactions to settle as any time you keep sending new transactions using your unconfirmed change you are making the problem worse (no coin loss though, except for the fees).

FYI,
I have 6 transactions stuck with increasing fees ranging from 27 to 224 satosh/byte since the 7th (three days)
I was sending to Bittrex to buy str and xrp.  So the coins crashed while I wait but now recovering so I am frustrated since I missed a good buying opportunity.  Of course the bleeding could continue but... nobody knows for sure.

This MultiBid HD is shit and I did not know it due to lack of research.  Found many threads with problems and solutions.  For now I am going to wait until the transactions cancel or go through.  The plan is to try to move my coins to another wallet when this fiasco is over.
The latest problem I discovered with this wallet is that the interface says satoshi/byte on a slider where you can set the fee.  That is a lie, it is just satoshi!  So when you think you are 200 satoshi the resulting transaction is like at 80 satoshi/byte.  I maxed out the fees and gives only 0.0005 btc regardless of the size (bytes) of the transaction!  So if you use this wallet be careful your coins could get stuck like mine.  Also someone suggested that the wallet is spending unconfirmed transactions of the previous unconfirmed transactions..  Now is this a fucking joke?  I have been in BTC for years and nobody ever said that you should do one BTC transaction at the time!  WTF!  In the end just be careful.  I will update this mess when it gets resolved to inform you guys!
Thanks for your help!

Answer is No. This bull race won't keep up forever, and once it cools down alts may valorize. At least this has been the market dynamics so far.

Yup, I won't sell my alts either. At the very least they are a hedge against any Bitcoin issue. Anyway my alts are now like less than 15% of my portfolio.

I have been scaling back from ALTS since TWO months ago but I never thought this would go so far...
I sure hope that the previous market dynamics continue and the ALTS get some love as well.

This is a short lived pump and dump. BTC is still more profitable to mine considering the higher fees, BitcoinCrash will always have a bigger blocksize, therefore, it will always have lower fees. The profitability due hasrate fluctuation is temporal, miners know that they can't gamble too much trying to profit from this, because if they screw up the real Bitcoin, their whole business would collapse.

The miners are going to blow through these 2016 blocks in a day or two. After that the difficulty is going to skyrocket for BCH. Probably close to the 4x limit. I think it's going to be game over for BCH when that happens.

Any idea how he diff will change at this point % wise? If it's massive, will it put them under profitability again?

If so, I need to dump the rest of my BCH.  Been hanging on to half to see what happens....

It could go up 4x or be 400% what it is now. The difficulty would shoot up to 272888550039. In order to be on parity with BTC difficulty, they would need to put the buy support at almost .3 BTC per BCH. The slowdown in hashrate could cause their special difficulty adjustment to kick in, but this takes at least 24 hours of blocks coming in at slower than 1 per 2 hours. The only other reprieve would be the upcoming difficulty adjustment upwards of BTC. If the BCH difficulty only went up 3x or 300% of what it is now, the buy support would need to be at a little over .22BTC for profitability to be on parity with BTC. With the current block emission rate at about 3 blocks per 10 minutes, its likely the next difficulty adjustment will go up by 300% or more, if their current hash rate remains stable.

Keep in mind that profitability calculators do not factor BTC fees into the equation. When you have 1-3 BTC per block, that's a substantial amount that can increase BTC profitability by 8-25%.

In fact, BTC fees are also a mechanism which allow BTC to "recover" in case of hashrate going away. Let's say tomorrow a very hot sha256 coin appears and hashrate goes down a lot. At that point block emission is reduced substantially, but the competition between people wanting to get first priority, in the first mined block, increases a lot also. So the first block mined will include the highest-fee transactions, and this could amount to something like 6-7-8 BTC - or more. If blocks take too long, at that point the block reward may even be doubled or surpassed by the tx fees that want first priority. This remedies profitability despite difficulty remaining the same.

On the other hand, if BTC's blocks were large enough to clear the mempool of any minimum-fee-transaction, even if the blocks took an hour to arrive due to lost hashrate, this built-in incentive wouldn't even be there. In a way, the increased fee pressure, which currently replenishes some of the lost miner income (after the halving), acts as a protective shield. In other words it pays to follow a "glide path" from a full-blown subsidy economy that has near-zero fees, to a full-blown fee economy where subsidy is practically zero, and doing so in steps.

Are there any prediction models about what the fees would look like in the years to come assuming different scaling methods?

Finally someone with a brain speaking:

"Back to $200! Bear market any minute now!" ... "It's just a flesh wound! 10k by the end of the year!"

How about: the market is testing the downside after huge gains were made during the past months. And "continuation or reversal?" will be largely determined by how this test proceeds? (e.g. support will or will not be found at a level which suggests the larger bullish trend remains intact)

My question is, where do you think this support will be found? Is it already found (3600ish), is it 3200-3000 or further down?
imo, under $2k easy

How much new money is needed for every 100$ up in price ?

I'm not saying 10K is impossible but so fast, I don't see how.

The only requirement is that nobody is willing to sell for less than previous price plus $100.  There is no set formula; simply bids and asks.

Yes, this doesn't feel like a short term trading play to me. Massive long positions are being taken. This feels less like a greed-based trade, and more like a fear-based trade (hedge).

The bigger questions are 1) Why? and 2) Why now?

The banks and currencies getting weaker!

You don't even need to check anything with sensationalist claims like that. Shit article by a shit author.

Light Pollution in the U.S. alone: 120 terawatt-hours/year

Bitcoin Network: 29.05 terrawatt-hours/year (Confirmation? Some articles cite 11 Twh/yr ?)

CERN Hadron Collider:  1.3 terrawatt-hours/year

Yeah, let's get the global light pollution levels solved first before we start considering Bitcoin energy consumption a problem...

Assuming a network at 10 Exahash/10,000 Petahash/10 Million Terahash/10 Billion GH/s and an average miner efficiency of .3 Watts per GH then I come up with 26.28 terrawatt-hours/year. That is about the efficiency of an Antminer S7 but the majority of miners are probably S9s or equivalent so that seems really high. .2 Watts per GH/s would still be high but closer to reality considering other power costs such as cooling. That would bring us down to 17.52 terrawatt-hours/year.

10,000,000,000 GH/s X .2 Watts/GH/s X 24hours X 365days = 17,520,000,000 KW/h or 17,520,000 MW/h or 17.52 TW/h

It's all based on your assumptions and of course the article didn't say what assumptions it used.

Thanks for the numbers.  I found this link indicating that the world consumption in 2015 was 20,757 TWhr and predict around 28,141 TWhr for 2030, assuming a linear growth it would grow at 492 TWhr per year.  That would put 2017 consumption at 20,757 + 492 + 492 = 21,747 TWhr for 2017.
https://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/figures/world-final-electricity-consumption-by-region-in-the-baseline-scenario-twh

So BTC would have consumed 17/21747 x 100 = 0.12% of the worlds energy.

I have downloaded the hash chart in excel from https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate?timespan=all
and then added a polynomial regression to predict the hash rate in one year and also in two years from today.

According to the chart on nov-24-2017 we are looking at 10445729 TH/s x 1000 = 10445729472 GH/s so according to your calculation that would put us at
10445729472 GH/s * 0.2 x 24 x 365 = 18300918034944 kw/hr or 18.3 TW-hr

The polynomial fit for the chart has a 0.9767 correlation coefficient predicting close to 70 TW-hr in 365 days and then 210 TW-hr in 730 days (2yrs) near the begining of 2020.
The world power consumption by the beginning of 2020 would be 21,747 + 492 +492 = 22,731 KW-hr
So BTC would consume 210/22731 * 100 = 0.92%

With the available data there is no way that the BTC electrical consumption could reach the world power by Feb 2020.

Here is the chart I generated for 365 extrapolation:

Here is the chart I generated for 730 day extrapolation.

Finally the hash rate chart from Blockchain.info

Gold mining burns a staggering 132 terawatt-hours per year.

Worst of all is the ENVIRONMENTAL damage caused by the chemical spills from all mining including gold where mercury is used.  Most mining industries have tight standards in developed countries but the pollution left behind trapped in pits and lakes eventually fail and flow into the rivers and aquifers.  The damage is appalling!  In third world countries even children are exposed to mercury in the processes of gold extraction.

I have been watching these patterns for years now, too.  and for the first two years, during 2014 and 2015, there was a tendency to break down after sideways; however, the past two years (2016 and 2017), there has been a tendency to break up, after sideways.

So you seem to be suggesting that we are reverting to the 2014-2015 pattern?  Seems way too early to call that kind of reversion, no?

i thought with CME bitcoin price would hit 25k...big disappointment Sad
The futures market has made huge news and thus many BTC traders are looking at what the futures market is doing and following suite.  Shocked Shocked
Since there are no positive BTC news the futures market could guide BTC price down until something sparks BTC buying pressure and then the futures market will have to explode upwards as well.

The question now is how far will the market goes down before it explodes again?
Given all the hype regarding the futures market and the recent huge gains in BTC this could take from hours to days.
I dont think the BTC buying pressure and FOMO will not subside anytime soon.
20K is also an important number so it is very possible that we might remain in the 17 to 20k range for a couple more days.

We will see what happens..

The sad part is that Wall Street is (temporarily) driving this bull now.
What appears to be happening is that the futures market is being used by the Wall Street players as a forecaster of prices and the bulk of other bitcoin traders are following suit.  Sad but true, as predicted the legendary Bitcoiners are loosing control of this market.

Watch this video by a pro trader that i have been following for about a year.

"SPECIAL REPORT: Bitcoin Price Falls As CME Futures Exchange Bids Lower. By Gregory Mannarino"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSRal9NQZi0&t=40s

The judge is still out, but this event may or may not affect the future  prices of Bitcoin on the long term.   We all know many heavy hitters in Wall Street do not believe in Bitcoin and they are going to short this market whenever possible to protect their inflationary assets like cash, gold, silver, stocks, etc. That is why it is called the futures market, because is typically used to predict the FUTURE, although it has been proven that they do not predict it but rather manipulate it!

Is Bitcoin DEAD?
No, I dont think so,  not by a long shot!  The true value of this asset has not changed, its deflationary model has not changed, its security model has not changed, its destiny has not changed, nothing has changed except that the big boys BETTING-CLUB is now wanting to take some profits out of this bull run.  The big boys betting-club has been doing this for a long time and dont want to miss the adrenaline and the gains ($$$) of this market.  Some of the Banksters that participate in this club also have to protect their inflationary assets and they will be betting against while other fund managers will be betting for the continuation of this run.

Should I buy the DIP?
Absolutely!  This market volatility is going to increase and if the price is pushed down too much it will rebound when the bitcoin believers take control.  In this case the believers participating in the futures market will also help push BTC to much higher adding to the rebound.

Can Wall Street stop Bitcoin now?
This is still a free market and its forces will take BTC much higher since the true value of this asset that is now worth $306 Billion dollars is intact.  Wall Street with its huge financial backing can kick BTC around but it wont be long before the underlying market forces will take control away from Wall Street.

I think for bitcoin to grow and the price to grow past 20k the scalability issue need to be fixed. Fees of 700+ sat/B is unsustainable. I don't think that increasing the block size like BCH did is the solution but a hard look at scalability is needed.
Do you think that halving the block size is a solution then?

Problem could be solved if everyone adopts segwit.

that is a good question. Core claims yes. We have 5% segwit adoption so far. ( heard from Jimmy Song this morning) Anyone care to guess the fees if everyone moved to segwit today. 1) The cost to move. 2) the costs after moving. Any guesses?

I just looked for Electrum wallet and they do not have Segwit support yet.

Can somone confirm if this new version is working with segwit transactions.

According to the Release Notes ( https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/master/RELEASE-NOTES)

There is support for Segwit but one has to chose it.  It is not default..  I am not a dev so maybe someone can check this out:

------------------------
"# Release 3.0.3
  * Qt GUI: sweeping now uses the Send tab, allowing fees to be set
  * Windows: if using the installer binary, there is now a separate shortcut
    for "Electrum Testnet"
  * Digital Bitbox: added suport for p2sh-segwit
  * OS notifications for incoming transactions
  * better transaction size estimation:
    - fees for segwit txns were somewhat underestimated (#3347)
    - some multisig txns were underestimated
    - handle uncompressed pubkeys
  * fix #3321: testnet for Windows binaries
  * fix #3264: Ledger/dbb signing on some platforms
  * fix #3407: KeepKey sending to p2sh output
  * other minor fixes and usability improvements

# Release 3.0.2
  * Android: replace requests tab with address tab, with access to
    private keys
  * sweeping minikeys: search for both compressed and uncompressed
    pubkeys
  * fix wizard crash when attempting to reset Google Authenticator
  * fix #3248: fix Ledger+segwit signing
  * fix #3262: fix SSL payment request signing
  * other minor fixes.

# Release 3.0.1
  * minor bug and usability fixes

# Release 3.0 - Uncanny Valley (November 1st, 2017)

  * The project was migrated to Python3 and Qt5. Python2 is no longer
supported. If you cloned the source repository, you will need to
run "python3 setup.py install" in order to install the new
    dependencies.

  *Segwit support:

    - Native segwit scripts are supported using a new type of
seed. The version number for segwit seeds is 0x100. The install
wizard will not create segwit seeds by default; users must
      opt-in with the segwit option.

    - Native segwit scripts are represented using bech32 addresses,
following BIP173. Please note that BIP173 is still in draft
status, and that other wallets/websites may not support
it. Thus, you should keep a non-segwit wallet in order to be
able to receive bitcoins during the transition period. If BIP173
ends up being rejected or substantially modified, your wallet
may have to be restored from seed. This will not affect funds
sent to bech32 addresses, and it will not affect the capacity of
      Electrum to spend these funds.

    - Segwit scripts embedded in p2sh are supported with hardware
wallets or bip39 seeds. To create a segwit-in-p2sh wallet,
trezor/ledger users will need to enter a BIP49 derivation path.

    - The BIP32 master keys of segwit wallets are serialized using new
version numbers. The new version numbers encode the script type,
and they result in the following prefixes:

         * xpub/xprv : p2pkh or p2sh
         * ypub/yprv : p2wpkh-in-p2sh
         * Ypub/Yprv : p2wsh-in-p2sh
         * zpub/zprv : p2wpkh
         * Zpub/Zprv : p2wsh

These values are identical for mainnet and testnet; tpub/tprv
prefixes are no longer used in testnet wallets.

    - The Wallet Import Format (WIF) is similarly extended for segwit
scripts. After a base58-encoded key is decoded to binary, its
first byte encodes the script type:

         * 128 + 0: p2pkh
         * 128 + 1: p2wpkh
         * 128 + 2: p2wpkh-in-p2sh
         * 128 + 5: p2sh
         * 128 + 6: p2wsh
         * 128 + 7: p2wsh-in-p2sh

The distinction between p2sh and p2pkh in private key means that
it is not possible to import a p2sh private key and associate it
      to a p2pkh address.

  * A new version of the Electrum protocol is required by the client
(version 1.1). Servers using older versions of the protocol will
not be displayed in the GUI.

  * By default, transactions are time-locked to the height of the
current block. Other values of locktime may be passed using the
    command line."

Fees are calculated per byte not per transaction so a miner is notionally indifferent to mining 5 normal or 10 Segwit transactions.  In reality I suspect that miners are anti-Segwit because less congestion would be less fees.

And for now, it's OK for Bitcoin network rules : https://bitcoincore.org/en/2016/10/27/segwit-upgrade-guide/

Quote
The segwit soft fork has also been designed to be both backwards and forwards compatible with all commonly-used wallets, so wallet developers and users can also independently decide whether they want to adopt segwit or continue making transactions without segregated witnesses.

We can fix that.
Users (full nodes) must enforce segwit transactions.

I guess the time will come for that as well.

Any place to see segwit adoption of Miners & Core Nodes?
I have gone to https://coin.dance/nodes#share
But it does not say how many core nodes are actually accepting segwit.  I suppose some nodes have not upgraded and therefore cannot support segwit.

And also the miners here do not show which ones support segwit.. I assume that most of them by now?
https://coin.dance/blocks

And YES I hope they can enforce segwit very soon!  The BTC price will go BOOM!  Finish that BITCH once and for all.

If I was bitcoin core...I'd either

1) pull Lighting out of my hat....and get some of that moving..razzle dazzle etc

or

2) do a hard fork, just to slap down Bitcoin Cash to about 800 bucks again at most, might not

be ideal, but better the decentralized group slap the BCH spam'ing centralized group now with a hard fork, I figure, then watch 'Rome burns'

with ludicrous fees!

(Actually, if I was core, I'd be pissed off enough to just do both...then all that BCH would come home to 'mama' Smiley

I will be buying BTC until I ran out of cash.

Børsen tells its website that Nordea will ban 31,000 of its employees with trading bitcoin.
According to Børsen, Nordea denies its employees to trade with bitcoin. According to the Danish newspaper, Nordea has announced this by an internal announcement on Monday.

Nordea's communications have been strengthened with Bloomberg's news agency. Afroditi Kellberg of Nordea says that the ban will come into effect on 28 February. After that, Nordea employees can not trade with bitcoin or other cryptographic currencies.

In December, Nordea Group CEO Casper von Koskull expressed his views on the bitstream of bitstream. He regards his unregulatedness as absurd.

- Considering that the financial system uses billions of financial regulation, I mean that it's actually a joke that we're going to give something like Bitcoin's, the CEO said to the Bloomberg news agency at that time.

During the weekend, Norwegian E24 reports that Nordea in Norway has banned thousands of employees from trading with bitcoin.

190. Post 29234442 (copy this link) (by RayX12) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_15.40h):

I was blown away yesterday when I opened my Electrum wallet and wanted to send BTC to some family members as part of a Chiristmas gift.  The idea was to send my $100 dollar gifts with low fees so that I would not be giving much of my gifting to the miners.  To my surprise the lowest calculated fee on the wallet was equivalent to 191 sat/b while the mempool was chugging away at 20-30 sat/b.  So I clicked the manual fees option and sent the transaction at 40 sat/b.  Today (a few hours later) I went back to my wallet and clicked automatic (dynamic) fee calculation and the calculated fees had dropped to a correct levels like 5 to 50 sat/b.  Then I took a look at the Bitcoin fees page https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ and realized that still many people are sending transactions with huge fees while others have scaled fees somewhat appropriately.

I am shocked at the variability of how much money the miners are charging for processing the transactions.  My transactions are small so typically 226 bytes is a good average size, today I can send transactions for 10 sat/b or 226sat x 10sat/byte / 100000000 = 0.0000226  BTC ($0.24) and there are people who are still paying 300 sat/byte or 30 times more 0.0000226 * 300/10 = 0.000678 BTC or ($7.48).  And then you can see on the fees transaction page ( https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ ) that the bulk of the transactions are centered around 191 to 200 sat/byte; and that is the shocking part.  This means that most of the wallets used are still stuck around the 191 to 200 sat/byte and not adjusting the fees dynamically like I noticed yesterday.

My conclusion:  The miners have influenced the wallet generators to keep transactions very expensive so they can profit more.  Electrum wallet fees will remain very high unless you switch to manual fees and send some cheap transactions, then the automatic fee calculation will kick in when you go back from manual to automatic fee calculation.  This change in automatic fee calculation did not happen immediately so be careful if you want to send some cheap transactions that the fees are adjusted properly and probably better to configure the fees manually.

I am on the belief that the spammers have finally realized that it is not to their advantage to keep spamming the mempool and hurting Bitcoins ability to send money cheap!  It will be very interesting to see what the future holds for Bitcoins when lightning fast transactions and smart contracts are activated on the network.

eidt: Also noticed that the fee transaction page still says:

"Which fee should I use?
The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 170 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top.
For the median transaction size of 226 bytes, this results in a fee of 38,420 satoshis."

False information again to benefit the miners!!!!

I actually prefer winter over summer. At some point you just run out of layers of clothes to take off and at that point you're still getting fucked by the sun when going outside. I'm so glad humanity has nearly perfected staying home.

The good thing about hot weather is that it encourages ladies and/or gentlemen, depending on your persuasion, to wear less clothing.
I was on vacation in South Beach a few weeks ago...hot girls in thongs everywhere.  Kiss
I live in a small university city, so you can hardly look anywhere without seeing some skin. But I'm not sure it's really worth it given how tedious it is to be outside in such weather. At least grabbing food and groceries is more interesting I guess.

Looks like we are heading into a year without summer.. Ash injected into the atmosphere cuts down on solar radiation hitting our lands.  This is growing concern for the next 30 years while the sun POSSIBLY  goes into a period of low activity.

I don't think Venezuela has any BTC and IF it had (maybe seized from the good venezuelan people) he/they would not dump it for US to use for the country but just hide it somewhere for their own personal use in the future.

There is no way to prevent the economic collapse of Venezuela, no matter what they do, even if they were (they aren't) exceptionally good managers from now on. It is way beyond possible recovery. The only thing they can do is prolong the agony at the cost of its citizens suffering. The sooner it finally implodes, the better.

The "petro" will be a shitshow worth watching with a good dose of popcorns.

P.S.: $735 million from Petro ICO pre-sale? I call BULLSHIT on that.

As somebody that spends a good proportion of their waking life on a Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion but doesn't like opposing views to their own, and somebody that edits out their own quotes but misquotes others, somebody that asks for reasons why the 3k prediction, and when reasons are presented to them (15% of ATH lows historically), ignores the very simple response to the question, do you feel your defending some grand principal, or are you just a cunt?

Because if i were to say "probably 100k by Christmas'' you wouldn't bat an eyelid.  Your fervor is funny at best and a little unsettling at worst, why don't you spend some time with the kids or friends or the wife/girlfriend/partner etc.

You are just making up shit, and filling space with nonsensical claims.  You seem to want to compete with me in the BTC price prediction arena, when I already told you several times that I don't do BTC price predictions beyond saying 50% or 60% here and there and largely predicting one leg at a time with 60% being a stronger level prediction if I make, while at the same time, I employ a methodology that largely attempts to prepare for BTC price movements in either directions.

As I recall, in my posts with you, I was merely asserting that you failed and refused to substantiate your absolutism bullshit and wishful prediction claims beyond merely asserting them as if you are some kind of deity.  So furthermore after I called you on your failure and refusal to back up your claims, you  falsely proclaim that I am making predictions when I am not.  I ongoingly tell you that I am not making predictions or attempting to but preparing for BTC price moves in either direction, but you continue to distract from your stupid ass failure to substantiate your dumb ass absolutist claims by asserting that I am not backing up mine.. what a bunch of bullshit and you further claiming with your false narrative that you must have better insight into bitcoin's price dynamics (and perhaps life as a whole and other implications that you are a superior being  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes), because you have other supposedly normal hobbies.

I have never called the time for the end of bitcoin. Bitcoin will end when the governments will finally crack down on exchanges creating funny-money to pump bitcoin. As long as people ignore things like goxdollars or tether,  then there is no height high enough. One thing is certain though - the governments will crack down on fake money exchanges and greater fools will also run out eventually. Then I'd like to see the bitcoin fanatics pay for the 7billion dollar revenue to the miners, just to sustain the network. So, I have no idea when will bitcoin crash, but I know that it will crash, and it will do it with a lot of tears from people who mostly deserve whats coming.

For every turd of FUD out there, there's some unicorn sherbet just waiting to be dispensed...

TURD: US Congressional Hearings: "Bitcoin is a Crock for Men in Pajamas!"
SHERBERT:
 - Congress is actually talking about us? Who cares about the actual verbal diarrhea coming out their congressional gobholes... By merely talking about us, they further legitimize crypto.
 - As an aside, does Sherman really believe that men in pajamas don't also fruckin trade stocks, options, real estate, derivatives and precious metals while telling their wives they'll be millionaires one day? What an idiot.

TURD: Mt Gox Trustee market sells BTC and BCH
SHERBERT:
 - Goxees are actually receiving settlements?! Wowee. How much of that will come right back into crypto? Kobayashi may be an idiot, and a short-lived one at that, but the fact that Bitcoin has appreciated so frucking much that the trustee only needed to liquidate 15% of the recovered stash to pay back ALL the creditors' claims is a miracle in and of itself. That's not exactly how the story ended with Bernie Madoff's clients. This fact is being WAY under-reported. I can't believe the market is focused so much more on slippage instead of Bitcoin's incredible asset appreciation since then. The real idiots in this story are the judge and creditors who insisted on being paid back in fiat-equivalent at the time of Gox's collapse instead of Bitcoin, just because the price of BTC continued to collapse post-Mt Gox. Oh ye of little faith, careful what you ask for and now eat your frucking cake!
 - BTC dominance 42% and rising!
 - BCH $600 hahaha

TURD: Google and Facebook ban crypto ads
SHERBET:
 - Fruck the ICOs, Shitecoins, Exchanges, and Scammers!!!!
 - Bitcoin dominance 42% and rising!

TURD: Bitcoin searches trending down
SHERBERT:
 - Dude, who really needs to search for Bitcoin now that it's being reported daily on CNBC, NPR, WSJ, Twitter, newsfeeds, etc etc? Everyone who's anyone with any interest or the means to delve into Bitcoin at this point in the adoption curve has already done so. They don't need to search for it anymore. They're already in it. To me, the fact that search trends spike and then fall off means that action has already been taken. When was the last time you googled "how to buy Bitcoin"?

TURD: Regulation Fears Driving Bitcoin Down
SHERBERT:
 - By choosing to regulate Bitcoin, governments further recognize its legitimacy and are forced to shine light on the benefits to society. Nobody sane wants Bitcoin, fiat, gold or anything else to fund terrorism or money-laundering, and the more Bitcoin is associated with the shadowy underworld, the more negative attention and regulation it will bring upon us. Bitcoin may have started on the backs of drug-dealers, but the crypto lot must also prove it can clean up well and be presentable at their parents' holiday dinner.

TURD: Bitcoin is no longer profitable for miners
SHERBERT:
 - HAHAHAHA.

I'm sure we all have a little sherbert to dispense...

Great turding story.. +Merits

It correlates very well (suspiciously well in fact) with the 2013 bubble aftermath. However, the timeline is hugely accelerated, meaning we're almost at the bottom of it already. By my reckoning, it will take a maximum of two more months to bottom out, assuming it hasn't already. The massive volumes we saw on 6 Feb  at $6k will be hard to beat and I'm still in two minds whether that's likely to get broken again.

If we apply the same recovery gain percentage to the recent bitcoin low of ~$6,000, and assume 15x recovery speed, we'd hit ~$946,000 in Apr. 2019. This is all based on questionable math and a clickbait article, but still fun to think about.

I'm usually able to shrug off MSM bitcoin FUD but this makes me nervous.

I don't think that government regulations will pose a real threat anytime soon. They know for years already, that bitcoin is mostly used for illegal activities like drugs and child porn, but they aren't doing anything about it. They're possible the same people, who profit most from all this money laundering and the creation of a make-believe industry, that adds value to their fiat money. If they really wanted to stop this, then all of this would be worthless in a month.

And how would they accomplish making "all of this" worthless in a month?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Guys, your reasons for the continuing downtrend are all wrong.

It's pretty simple.

1. Whale(s) spend a full year pumping Bitcoin and altcoins to the moon, using massive leverage.

2. Whale(s) gain control of the float and thin it out, pushing prices to the moon.

3. Whale(s) massively short sell/dump in one go. Ending bull run.  Whale mega money then sits on sidelines.

4. Whale(s) use lotza coins to squeeze remaining float up and down to make money trading. Mostly down.

5. Average Joes finally lose interest. Sell at bottom.

... and then... eventually... (*we are not there yet*)...

6. Whale(s) use sidelined mega money to scoop up cheap coins at the bottom. Downtrend over. Next bull run starts.

There are no "reasons". There are no plausible "FUD". Its just the way it goes.

Yep!!!!  This was all pre-planned from a year ago and perhaps two years.  There are whale manipulators who  knew these details all along.   I knew it.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

It means we are in a downtrend, even positive news gets ignored. There's no telling where the floor is. If you go out dancing you better bring your own rug.

Are you back now?  You said goodbye already, why dont you go away???  Roll Eyes

It seems like so many bears where sleeping while the bottom was set in with huge volume of capitulation on February 5th.

I think we need to see some sort of capitulation before this bear is finished. Maybe we are getting close. I think we need some panic selling.
Prices are still up quite a bit from one year ago. ( to keep things in perspective )
On April 2, 2017
BTC = 1079.44
XMR = 21.22
etc..
I would prefer this bear does not drag on, so a panic flush, would set the stage for setting a base and a new bull. I hate the drip , drip , drip of down. It does feel a little like 2014.

There is nothing to worry about.

Agreed. Price broke to the upside above $6k just 5 short months ago. Taking a long view is better.

Relax...  even if it gets back to $2k that doesn't negate the long bull case.

Agreed, time to relax.  The train will eventually go up and up and up.

I think the manipulators are doing this to shake the weak hands before the next HUGE run.

Still way too much hope, too much anger at the forecasts of lower prices.

Why do they do this?
Quote
It’s all about money control. Financial elite has recognized that Bitcoin and Crypto in general is a threat to their existence. What do powers do when they see anything as a threat or enemy? You got it, they try to destroy the enemy (by all means). Therefore, It is extremely important for the Financial-elite to stop bitcoin’s rise so their show can continue.

What do they do to stop the RISE of Bitcoin? They first let it rise to unimaginable height (20K first stop). Then they drop it to unimaginable lows. They will do this many times. They have trillions of dollar to maintain the show going, UNTIL the RETAIL investor gives up in frustration. What you are seeing since Mid-2017 is just the 1st inning of 9 innings Bitcoin game.

Bitcoin has been placed into Geopolitical chessboard since Mid-2017. Most of the Bitcoiners have NO IDEA how big this game is. Crypto space is just a pawn on this chessboard and there are elite-fingers moving these pawns (Gold, Silver and now Bitcoin).

Our only hope is to BTFD

Quite true. Not bizarre at all when you consider it.

Sentiment has been bullish since the high of 19k, and will likely stay on the plus side (give or take ) until we reach the bear market lows of 2-3k.

While its obvious we are in a bear market,

Really? Bearwhales will run out of ammo soon and we'll climb back up to at least 5 digits. Then around June-July we'll see a new ATH and we'll moon in October-November or so.  Cool

I think bearwhales play in fiat-settled assets (paper claims on actual bitcoin), as yefi recently suggested:

When bankers run the world behind the scenes controlling the laws and the money printing presses they can own and control anything they wish too.

Bitcoin isn't a problem you can print your way out of. All it will achieve (or all it has achieved) is to make the believers richer and more resolute.

What they want to do is divert money away into paper claims on bitcoins - but they're going to face difficulty on that front.

If so, they won't "run out of ammo" as long as they can print their ammo.

That's why I think the only way to disarm them and let the market run as unencumbered as possible is to have bitcoin-settled derivatives (futures, options, whatever). If and when these become dominant in the derivative market, whales will need to get themselves lots of coin before playing any game, or they will need lots of lots of coins after playing a game and losing it.

(I'm not picking on you, serveria. On the contrary, your posts offered me the most inspiration for a reply.)

The only way to disarm them is to BTFD and HODLCRAEFUYLLY!  Nothing else can shake them out or this game.

Everybody will say here this is tin-foil hat conspiracy theory.

But central banks can print money out of tin air, provoking inflation, which is in turn masked by the media.

You can see that people are always FUDing about tether, saying that is illegal and immoral for Ifinex to print it without a dollar equivalent, like it was a stupendous crime againt humanity.

However, when its central banks doing exactly the same, nobody cares.

So such cartels can run free. Thats how they dumped the gold market. Remember that a hundred years ago, gold was a store of value, and used as a protection against financial tyranny.

Now they are doing the same with crypto.

They print money out of tin air, buy bitcoin, then sell at low prices. Since every financial crisis is planned, this is good for their goals.

But hey, its a conspiracy. Trust the state and the banks, lets FUD about the immoral tether.

Yes but that is equally true for gold and to a lesser extend other PM's. And since their weapon of choice is paper, it is an unequal battle. I heard and read many many times that we should buy their paper gold and then redeem the real stuff in order to bring them down. Only, the few people who actually tried to have their contracts settled in physical, had a rather cold experience... . (So far at least). Now of course, why would someone want to have paper gold in any way ?

Not really, there is no deliverable on BTC futures.  The only way to get BTC is in the BTC markets.  They can battle with their fiat but we just need people to buy and HODL.  Scarcity will win the game.  It may take some time. Tongue

Sound like you can avoid paying taxes on crypto if you move to Puerto Rico?

https://www.democracynow.org/2018/3/21/the_battle_for_paradise_naomi_klein

"But in addition to that, these twin laws, Act 20 and Act 22, mean that if you relocate to Puerto Rico for just half the year—so you can basically just skip winter, which I’m sure, to New Yorkers, sounds very appealing just about now—so you spend 183 days in Puerto Rico, and, in return, you don’t pay federal taxes. You don’t pay taxes on dividends. You don’t pay taxes—capital gains taxes on interest. And if you change the address of your financial services company or your cryptocurrency company, then you’d pay a 4 percent corporate tax rate. So, if you think about what’s just happened to U.S. tax law, where Trump has offered this huge tax reduction which brings the corporate tax rate to 20 percent, Puerto Rico is besting that with a 4 percent corporate tax rate. So they’re doing absolutely everything they can to lure high-net-worth individuals and these very mobile industries, that basically can do what they do from wherever they have access to data. And so, now there’s a big push to attract the cryptocurrency market to Puerto Rico."

A fun fact:
A long time ago, this account was first created for trolling. The act was meant to show a parody of a stereotypical bitcoin fanatic, with the character being over the top and two dimensional in it's stupidity and greed.
The act failed because the audience here were actually unable to distinguish this over the top character from everyone else here.
Saying things like "Everyone who spreads WRONG information about bitcoin should be educated by force, so they wouldn't be this STUPID any longer. " weren't actually out of place and were rather popular with the local crowd. No one actually understood that they are being trolled with and cheered with sincerity. This made things creepy..

The sellwalls at 7,5k are really strong.

For instance: I don't understand why someone would put up a sell order of 100 BTC at exactly 7,5k just to hold the price down.

Does he realize that also his own coins will not rise in value if he keeps the price down?

Bitcoin market will always be a little chaotic, because of the unknown.
For instance any drug dealer, who did tor market business during 2010-13 and got imprisoned for that, will probably have loads of coins left in cold wallets, waiting to be dumped. Autistic people, who live in their parents basements and have no conception of wealth, could now be bitcoin whales with a lot of weight on the market. That is why things don't often make logical sense here. Lots of people out there who are inexperienced in dealing with wealth.
Is this a joke? Lol

I never understood why there is resistance? I dont get it, can somebody explain? 10k will break. Why are people building walls to hold it sub 10k as long as possible?

I never understood this too why people are selling during a bull run.

But the thing is

1) There are people who set a goal. "I bought at XX and will sell everything when it reaches 10.000"
2) Their are traders who sell and hope to crash the price by a few % and then buy back so they ultimately have more BTC
3) Wales make up sell walls (the 200 / 300 / 400 BTC walls you see) to keep the price below a certain level so they can buy all their BTC below a certain price. Once they are done they mostly lift their sell wall.

There are probably more reasons :-)

Whales hold Bitcoin down while they amass much profit in ALTS.  Wink

My first "computer game" experience;

My dad brought a state of the art HP calculator home from work.  This thing could read (and write) programs on small, like 10mmx40mm mag strips.  you would feed the strip into a slot in one side and little rubberized feed wheels would spin up and spit it through and out the other side.

One of the program strips included when the unit was delivered was a "moon lander" game.  It was turn based.  It would briefly display your speed, range to the surface, and remaining fuel, then you would be prompted for a fuel burn input.

Yes, I did land it that night.

Yes...I am old.

That was my first programmable super calculator!  I loved it but it was ti-59

Now can we get on with doing the same for all the mETH heads and all the ICO shitcoin lovers?

The only ICO that isn't for a shitcoin is the HoweyCoins ICO that's endorsed by theymos and all the mods. It's officially registered with the U.S. government and SEC compliant. You are GUARANTEED PROFIT from your investment from it.

Theymos himself made its announcement thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3920469.0

Invest all your Bitcoins in it, and if you don't have any money to invest get a huge loan.

This is the bounty thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4029040.0

Theymos GUARANTEES PROFIT from it.

Et tu, Theymos?

This is a helpful campaign.
https://www.investor.gov/howeycoins

However the thing that bothers me, is that even if an ICO has none of the things listed on that page it is STILL a scam. Period. It doesn't matter what the devs claim, or what the "parameters" are. Trying to differentiate one from another doesn't matter. All ICOs are scams.

Penny stocks are complete scams endorsed by the SEC. They are fraud. So are ICOs. Same thing with different name.

Strange!  Is Theymos account stolen?  Has he done this kind of shit before?  Is this the biggest scam in crypto?  WTF?

@Anon136
That is to me an accurate chart on price manipulation which is definitely worth to be mentioned here on the WO. The Bart Simpson pattern became a thing and, trust me, I would love if it would cease.
So it goes now, there is not much to do but hey, after the third Bart pattern I started to take some profit and bought a bit more on the way down.
If they play, I will do that too.

To what do you attribute it? I mean more specifically than just "manipulation" generally.

Looking at that so-called "Bart Simpson" chart pattern, I don't really see the mystery. That is exactly what a trading market pattern would look like if you have:

a) major sideways wash trading
b) the float on exchanges being really thin
c) only one or a few whale market participants using large margin
d) volume being led by one or only a few exchanges

Which is the environment we are in right now. The whale is ready to rek anyone who takes up a sizable position in either direction. It could be the exchange owners themselves.

Agree!  Exchange owners are some of the largest and dirties whales around; they are more like Killer Whales acting solely on profit gouging!

MSM is clueless...there is no way yesterdays correction was caused by one tiny tiny exchange getting brute forced... sorry..I dont buy it.  That would be like claiming it was caused by Tone's and Doug's bet. Nope... still not buying it.

Perhaps longs were getting out of control...and the market had to slam the door on some of them is one opinion. Some are saying its just a general technical correction..that the market was oversold. As in most things its usually a combination of events. Personal I think its was mostly due to panic selling over the CTFC news of a price manipulation probe coinciding with a general correction. Momentum gathers quickly once the tides shift.

For a little Straight Outta My Ass Non-TA:

If you ignore the obviously manipulated Bart action (anything near-vertical on a 4 hr chart) the majority of background action appears surprisingly and overwhelmingly bullish. It's punctuated by relatively brief and steep bearish intervals.

To me, the Bart action stinks to high heaven of whales still trying to cash out gracefully via OTC but being absolutely played by their OTC brokers. At the moment, whales are selling faster than the OTC market can absorb, leading to an overall downtrend, or at least sideways equilibrium. At some point, whalebears will run out of ammunition and the background uptrend will once again dominate.

I suspect it's Wall St and institutions slurping up most of the whale poop. Several regulated brokers (Fidelity, Goldman, JP Morgan, etc) are on the brink of offering their own Bitcoin exchanges, and are probably in bed with the OTC brokers, accumulating, accumulating, accumulating. Of course, they're getting played by their OTC intermediaries, too, resulting in reverse Bart action and uptrends. I wouldn't be surprised if it's these Wall St guys crying foul in the first place and putting pressure on the CFTC to investigate unregulated OTC/futures manipulation and level the playing field before the flood gates open. This is causing further whale and OTC broker panic to hurry up and unload before regulators shine a light and scatter the roaches in their corner, too.

Why OTC in the first place? Besides avoiding thinly traded exchange slippage, OTC brokers don't typically report anything to the IRS or other tax authorities. I suspect KYC/AML is much more lax as well, as long as you got the coin to play. Privacy comes at a price, though, and it's name is manipulation.

Meanwhile, small fry retail guys are quietly accumulating, driving the bullish background action we see on the charts.

$6000 seems to be established as a fair bargain basement price by both bulls and bears and even miners apparently. We have achieved equilibrium price discovery, not just once, but like 5 times since October of last year, give or take $500.

Anything below the bears generally agree is too greedy and the bulls consider a steal.

But there is some serious Grade A manipulation going on. FUD is being slung around like monkey poop fresh outta Bill Gates and Warren Buffett's decrepit simian asses. Sometimes it sticks, sending Korean tourists, YouTuber potato heads, and Tweaking Twitterites screaming for the exits.

The most damage this FUD has done since (dare I say it?) the "capitulation" on Feb 5 is 5-10% intraday trading. Around $500-600 intraday swings at most.

Prior to Feb 5, we were seeing intraday swings as high as 30%. We're talking like $4500 in one day! Many days were well over 10%, equating to at least $1000 at the time. It's a freaking snooze fest in comparison.

So far, the FUDsters have tried squirting manipulation FUD, sharting Tether FUD, and are currently honking for clearance while constipated with a big ol' meal of regulation FUD. Mt Gox has been hotboxing us with silent but deadly FUD for months now, but most of our olfactory bulbs have long since burned out. Hacked exchange FUD is the most regular of all, sustained by a healthy diet of shyster/ignoranus FUDfiber(tm).

As much as everyone is watching, waiting, hoping for a clear sign from Satoshi himself "THIS IS THE BOTTOM", the truth is the FUDsters have run out of effective FUD. Even Roger Ver himself, the king of bullshit, a giant walking colon, can only shit so much, right?

What more can the bears possibly fling at us? Am I missing some super potent 10x epic hangover evacuate the building and whatever you do don't light that match FUD? Something that would truly shake hodlers to their very core that we haven't already seen a dozen times?

It's a fucking zoo out there this summer, peeps. Watch out for the monkey poop.

Ok so Ive been invested in BTC since 2018 with an average cost basis of about 8k per coin. Sadly I dont see how we arent going to have at least one more huge move down well below 3k. I have orders to buy 3 more coins if we hit 2k. I dont want to sell rn but I am considering taking out a short position here. I believe in Bitcoin, but Im tired of so much losing in my first year Embarrassed

Could a few members help me out and post their best argument for why we already saw the bottom, or their best argument of why we are gonna have another big move to new lows.

Thank you in advance.

Stop worrying about shorting the final gasp of the bear market and start thinking about when you are going to long the bottom and how you are going to do it.  Much more profitable.

Regarding investing in bitcoin, what do you do?

Do you dollar cost average and try to buy more on dips?

Do you have a certain percentage of your income that you allocate to bitcoin?

Do you plan out in advance in order to determine how much BTC you can buy, or do you get into trouble because you bought too much and then th price does not go up, as hoped?

Buy low and never sell.  I got in mostly in the $600 to $1200 range but added more in the $3400 range.  Will add more if it drops below $3200.

Do you plan out in advance in order to determine how much BTC you can buy, or do you get into trouble because you bought too much and then th price does not go up, as hoped?

I got another question. How far are you from town ?
Is it hard to get supplies to where you are ?

Closest stores 45 minutes for supplies.  Bigger mall with more stuff 1hr.

Plenty of cheap land for sale..  It is cheap because we are inside the crater, probably cant get volcanic insurance.

Two Hacker Groups Responsible for As Much as $1 Billion in Stolen Crypto

https://ci.covesting.io/news/cryptocurrency-news/two-hacker-groups-responsible-much-1-billion-stolen-crypto

"Blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis has revealed new data that suggests that two cyber-criminal rings could be responsible for the majority of cryptocurrency stolen in recent years.

While there are dozens of hacker groups across the globe, and many more individual hackers working in solitary, two specific groups are said to be responsible for as much as $1 billion in stolen cryptocurrencies, according to a new report featured in the Wall Street Journal.

New research from Chainalysis claims that two groups, only referred to as Alpha and Beta, are responsible for an overwhelming majority of all cryptocurrencies stolen as part of scams. These scams often include phishing attacks, Twitter giveaway schemes, and much more."

Probably CIA and the FEDs
They are are the ones that want to kill crypto.
wait...
Maybe the Roger VER group or the Craig Wright group...
wait..
One thing is clear..
Few people are trying to kill it (BTC)!

Venezuela is one of the cheapest places in the world (on record) to mine bitcoin because of the really cheap electricity prices. Anybody feel like going to live there for 12-18 months & setting uo a mining farm with me?

If I was younger and single I would bite your arm off.
Unfortunately I am neither and will have to make do with my tiny GPu rig costing more on electricity than I am making in coins here in the UK.

Maybe you should listen to this first. https://ledarsidorna.se/2019/02/our-woman-in-venezuela-annika-hernroth-rothstein-this-is-what-happened/

That chick has balls, hot too! I don't think she will go back there again.

That is not a country you want to goto now I'd say.

Maybe people can help her by sending her some BTC.
That would be fantastic use of BTC..

HOTTIE of the day

These girls,
Showing off their body
Risking their life in between a small mistake
For what?

I am sorry the world is too crazy now. May be I am one of the old school in thoughts?

F**king safety first!

Maybe for the same thing as us guys? I used to do that shit just for the fuck of it. good fun climbing.

Wanna be safe then build and underground bunker and hide.

I don't see no climbing there:

Hint: Extra strong hair lacquer.
Geeze I don't know if I'd want to date a woman who's crazy enough to do that. She might jump on the hood of your car if you ever want to drive off somewhere.

Yeah, that would be horrible. You would have to fuck her to let you go.

I would like to see some shots from below, Gluteus maximus pls.
