and get paid by me for the one guesses most closly ( 0.25BTC ) as another ( 0.25 BTC) for giving the best explanation why the raise at that time

anybody more wants to take a guess feel free to take a date

( for the ones that don't trust me to pay still just waiting for a trusty member to react on this and be confirmt by 2 other trusted members and i deposit the amount with them ......)

ONLY GOOD INTENTIONS

 Wink Wink Wink Wink

I think the price will get close to the price of $2789 on Bitstamp (on July 6th) within 24 hours from now, and then there will be a correction, probably bringing the price down to the region of $2400. After the weak hands have sold, I speculate the price will shoot upwards again once more, and will hit an ATH around 24 hours after that.

I call ATH on 22nd of July, at 16.32 GMT.

You forgot about the seconds mate..

I'm too afraid of putting my private keys at risk to touch BCH.

Move your bitcoins to another wallet first

Do you know if viaBTC need a completely verified account for withdrawals? If they have been around for sometime, i guess its the safest best, especially with bittrex acting all shady (wonder where that volume is coming from, i doubt that anyone would have left so much coin on their exchange wallets).

i've heard hitbtc only want two. that's not very reassuring or sensible.

Faster transactions, but less secure network, the real developers would never agree with segwit implementation. Segwit will lead to the new ATH but Bitcoin might possibly crash hard, because people will understand that segwit isn't the future and we need larger blocks, but developers backed by AXA BANK (Bitcoin Core; yes it's really a private bank) will refuse to implement "2x" part of segwit2x and the chain might fork yet again and people will run to Bitcoin Cash, which si ready to get mass adopted and is the real bitcoin Satoshi described in his whitepaper. It will be really easy for those who adopted Bitcoin to convert to Bitcoin Cash, so that's something I wouldn't really worry, we can forget about Bitcoin in a while and use the real bitcoin. Therefore, from now I would call the current bitcoin Bitcoin Legacy and buy a lot of BCH when it hits the low to at least hedge your funds, because it's possible that Bitcoin Legacy will really crash and Chinese miners will dump BTC and buy cheap BCH from morons like most of the people on this forum.

The cool thing about this is that while Bitcoin is soaring to $3300, AltcoinCash is also creeping up.

Maybe when A-cash finally starts moving it'll actually be worth something.

Great news for those of us with both coins tucked safe and sound in our paper wallets.

Believe it or not but I still have all tokens of that clone!
I'm speculating on a later sale for higher value.
Right now dumping with the masses makes not much sense imo.

So this time bitcoin core is trying to fork?

I you're talking about Segwit 2X then no.

Core has wanted Segwit for years. Now it's going to happen, but instead of people accepting Segwit (which they refused for years) they accepted Segwit2X = Segwit + 2MB blocks. The Segwit part is a tested piece of code (could still have bugs though), the 2X is untested, not made by Core, and Core is firmly against it.

Core has wanted Segwit for years as I said, and promoted it. When it will activate, clearly that will not be a fork. If another piece of software rejects Segwit blocks, that would be a fork. Later if a Segwit2X piece of software is deployed then that's another fork.

Thanks for the reply aesma,

So bitcoin core will continue with bitcoin as it is now (with segwit activated) and someone else will fork for 2x, like they did with BCH,  am I right?

In this case shouldn't be problems, as bitcoin core have massive suppport as always.

Or the majority of miners support he 2x shit?

It's been abandoned by the major players. However, the software is still in the wild. So, a small band of renegade miners could still fork off. However, we have already been dealing with this with Bitcoin XL, Bitcoin Classic and Bitcoin Unlimited. They are all blow and no go. They should just stick to Bitcoin Cash. At least that did get off the ground.

I see, thanks alot for the reply bones.

Your "bottom" is very likely to be reveresed false ceiling Grin

Bitcoin at $10,000 is only a self-delusion  - the logic is inconsistent.

Bitcoin is all about buy-low sell-high - nothing about buying bitcoin (viz other crypto) for its "especial" value.

You must have bought at lows before you could sell at high - unified string theory?

When you sell high come $10,000, where are the ready pool of "fools" ready to facilitate your profit taking. Bobby Lee, Jihan Woo, ...

This alone means that there is no $10,000 to celebrate this Christmas. Only gloom for those invested in bitcoin above $6000.

Bitcoin has always been sell high buy higher.

LOL, good one.

Do you think we will be able to use BTC in a couple of years to buy for example coffee?
The real question is, the minimum fee we can pay is 1 sat, there is nothing less than 1 sat, right? but if in the next years 1 sat = $2/3, the fee will be as expensive as the thing you wanna buy (coffee). I don't like this BTC = Gold/store of value, I want to use BTC for my everyday expenses.

How sad for you that your dream of coffee for Bitcoin has died; that you wont be able to use Bitcoin for everyday expenses.   In life, periods of strife, loss and suffering are inevitable but you must remind yourself that these will pass.  Perhaps it would be better for your psyche to concentrate on broadening your outlook or maybe focussing on the better periods of your life - reflect on those times when things were going your way and you had the world by the balls.

We're not trying to kill Bitcoin Segwit. We are merely building Bitcoin Cash to be all that it can be -- in order to take its rightful place as the dominant Satoshi derivative.

I'm sure we've had a fair share of fly by night pump n dumpers. But enough of us are playing a long game. Those of you thinking this is over may want to rethink.

The addition of 3 new assets on Gemini and being licensed by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) shows Gemini is making a wider spectrum of crypto available to institutional investors, also they offer custody of the institutions investments which has been a big concern for many.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/michaeldelcastillo/2018/05/14/winklevoss-brothers-bitcoin-exchange-adds-zcash/#54449efc6b98

Today another news article was released in regards to coinbase offering 4 new services that will include a custody service for institutional investors.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/15/coinbase-bets-big-on-institutional-investors.html

I don't think its a coincidence that both of these big name crypto exchanges are pin pointing their target market to attract institutional clients, it really does show that there is interest from big money investors. If ONLY retail money can push BTC to 20k, then what will institutional money do? Does that 45k-100k target seem so unlikely?

We will see what happens for the rest of 2018 but I think we could be in for some fireworks.

Why would they add beecash? wtf?
