I am in the 'don't care' anymore phase, acceptance of the new reality.
Which means I am buying again like in 2014/2015, can't help myself when they are this cheap (only a 10x!)

I'm in the same camp,   dropped so quickly I'm now pretty numb.   Decided to just sell my entire stash, waited a couple of days, and purchased back in.   Was able to cancel all of my gains from Q1 2018 -- so on the bright side, I don't have to spend all that money on taxes and down side is that I reset my 1 year long term gains clock...  which is no biggie.

Been making small purchases starting at 3800, which is the same as what I was doing in the last crypto winter.

Good luck!  The other bright side of this,  when we come out the other side,  since the crypto space is so much larger now,  rather than being "lucky" we can get the credit we deserve -- this isn't easy -- its stressful, risky, and the most amazing thing ever.

Those bastards got all that cash/crypto from all of us with their insane 1-1.5% fees.

That was customer funds, not CB's own coins...

To the Murricans in this thread.

I understand that your capital gains tax rate depends on your absolute annual income and hodl duration. Is the income in that consideration your capital gains alone, your personal income from work, or your total income?

And what do sensible health care plans cost per month?

My family healthcare is around $1100 monthly...  PPO plan.     Total income I believe but I'm no accountant.  (It is tiered,  first X at X percent, second X at X percent, etc..)  Just remember to get any loans, equity lines, whatever BEFORE you remove any W2 income as capital gain income does not count as "income" for those items.   They would just see you are broke.  LOL

Of course someone is scared this Libra thing could actually work after all:
I believe Libra will be a threaten to banks, not to bitcoin.

I see many people saying it would destroy XRP... this is a non-sense to me.

Libra may force banks to modernize, as Libra will be more open than banks (more border-less), but will also follow their rules (centralized, legislation rules, reliable, etc)..
How will banks modernize? XRP may be the answer for them. XRP always tried to get blockchain technology into the banking system.

Not sure it is a threat to banks as all the Libra collateral will be stored in banks.

I have a SATA drive controller, that was purchased from Newegg for (now) about $9,000 of BTC. I'M PART OF THE NEW ECONOMY!

Pro-tip: If you use BTC to conveniently buy stuff, replace it fairly soon. Because, pizza.

agreed.    Spent BTC on starbucks everyday for 6 months since using BTC was 20% off (SB Gift Cards) -- All those transactions still in my history -- painful.    Should have reloaded by BTC each day too but I didn't.

I think I enjoyed the coffee though.    I no longer goto starbucks...

Ok, shit is getting serious. And I have to prepare for the next real run. Want to cash out 50% @$50k. My Bitcoins are on a paper wallet. And I yet did not redeemed my Bcash and other forks. I need advice what wallet is recommended these days for Bitcoin, Bcash, BSV, BGold and all the other forks I get after redeem my Bitcoins.

Import your priv keys into electrum and always move your coins to a different private key before you claim anything.

I believe bcash has its own electrum version. You can try it.

No idea about BSV and bGold. Did bgold long time ago.

I believe if u import private key into hardware wallet, it will split for you.    I know keepkey automatically created a BTG wallet for any BTC I had.      It didn't do BSV though,  maybe ledger would as it supports more coins.
