Why is the roach still talking?
Sexual frustrated? Maybe?

I donīt get the point why people are posting on BitCointalk, when they donīt believe in BitCoin at all. I would just leave, say good bye to BitCoin and spend my time with things i believe in / like.
Itīs like beeing Burger King lover, but instead of buying a whooper you waste your time talking to people at McDonalds what kind of trash the McDonalds food is.... Why donīt just grab a whooper and enjoy life?

Hey gang. I have no life and have run out of things to do in my mom's basement.

Does anyone know of a good gold speculation forum I can go to and talk about bitcoin all day? The only reason I would do it is that I have no life. I have no interest at all in gold but I think they would appreciate me talking about bitcoin in a place where they go to discuss gold.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hahaha, yeah.
But the difference is, many "goldsters" are interested in BitCoin and most of them like to discuss it. On the other side, I was really thinking of buying some gold and silver (just for diversifying the portfolio) but this pointless flaming of roach is getting me away from it  Roll Eyes
I wonder why it even does anything to me, but most of his statements are so off the road, I donīt know if laughing, crying or just feeling ashamed for him is my inner reaction  Grin. Certainly it makes gold and silver unsympathetic (which it propably shouldnīt, because he shares somehow inconsiderable statements, they shouldnīt even be a "pro" or "con" anything)

Concerning the walls: How to get in the market once you want to buy big amounts of BTC? Propably by not building up that massive walls, but you might fill up the bid side anyhow, right?

Yeah, actually Iīam wondering why we did not switch to mBTC as basic unit yet Smiley
It makes no huge difference, but Iīm confident this would give the price an extra boost, just of the psychological factor. Buy 1 BTC for 2800$ or buy 1 mBTC for 2.8$...

Any time a large amount of metals move for payment and an entity takes possession of said metals, transaction fees in the form of security, transportation, and storage are required.

Completely irrelevent and orthogonal argument.  For all you crackhead bitcoiners who are trying to buy kilos of whatever substance you are smoking, anytime you are transferring large amounts of fiat paper, metals, or bitcoin and receiving real world goods for them, you would need security on both sides to make sure the other side doesn't try to stiff them.

Well, correct me if Iīam wrong, but this is a counter argument against your own argument made some posts before, right?

Finex being suspiciously slow in crediting BCH balances:

https://www.reddit.com/r/bitfinex/comments/6rq8ua/20_confirmations_for_bch_deposits_really_bitfinex/

They aren't acknowledging network confirmations at anything like the network is showing - as well as apparently moving BCH from addresses credited to.  Playing with client money?

Very odd. I've been hearing complaints about this all day now. Could they have some interest in temporarily holding up the price? Seems unlikely. Could they have screwed up in splitting the coins, or in setting up their wallet infrastructure, and are scrambling to assess the damage?

They're probably using this time to sweep the BitCH coins from their deposit address to exchange (hot) wallet.

But still, some people are saying the block explorer is showing 15+ confirmations while Finex shows only 3. That is outrageous.

Yeah, given that the network has stabilized a lot, this doesn't seem right. Almost 100 blocks have been mined in total, and difficulty has adjusted downward significantly. I just hope they didn't royally screw something up and manage to lose bitcoins or something...

BitFinex worked fine for me. They were 1-2 confirmations behind the chain, but all BCH got credited "within" time (I might not blame them for the 36 hours the BCH Chain needed to find enough blocks...)
Edit: And overall with the experience using several trading platforms, BitFinex is the best option for me. Hardly downtimes, nearly no "lags", support ticket got answered within minutes (less than an hour), BCH got credited shortly after the fork (had some BTC there at the time). So just good experiences from my side...

I'm a little bit nervous to have the sign knowing it will likely lead to lots of conversations during my sales time.

maybe print out a card with some links, then you can politely say "yes, it is the payment method of the future, but I don't have time to bring you up to speed on it right now, please check out these links and do your own diligence...it is your money.

I have allot of people asking me to show them how to purchase BTCitcoin and how it works. I Always tell them to watch the movie: Banking on Bitcoin.

If they dont even want to spend an hour and a half to get to know how bitcoin works im not helping them. If they do watch it and ask me again later i do help them with setting up an account on Kraken and show them how it works. Grin

So you should have a BitCoin ATM Wink

Who sold at the bottom?

I'm not sure if this already was the bottom.
We could also see a second wave and drop to 3500 for a short while.
The newbies who joined this space just a few days ago and bought Bitcoin without knowing what it is and how it behaves learn their first hard lesson now. For us oldies here it's no big deal anymore. Let it drop, layer in if you have some money on the sideline and wait for the honeybadger to bounce and move up higher again.

I would love the see another dip, but unfortunately I don't think so. Today was a good chance, tomorrow fresh money will come to the exchanges and price is rising already...
If somebody isnīt sure whether to sell or not, please give me a dip. Iīve read "BitCoin is dead" anywhere, this should be enough of an argument, wright?

LOLS, ITS A SCAM
the blockstream satellite are lies, please if you have never researched satellites, then do it, and be surprised and then you will see the scam...
the long con from blockstream to drain funds from the network for personal gain.

I know something about the subject. I don't see what scam do you refer to. PLease enlighten us.
if you have never researched satellites, then do it...while your at it, start looking at n  tesla, his tech, his patents and who stole em  Tongue

I have a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications where we covered satellite technology as well as a Master's in IT. I have worked on military satellite systems. I see no scam in what they are doing. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I guess he is just trolling around. Why should somebody shout "Scam" and then donīt give a single argument why this should be a scam (well, except from "inform yourself bla bla bla bla")
But letīs give it another shot: Why should this be a scam?

True. I installed the Electron shitwallet on my cellphone and guess what? It changes THE REAL ELECTRUM config, so the Electrum started looking for my xpub on the shitcash chain. I had to uninstall and reinstall Electrum (just erasing the blockchain headers file did nothing) after recovering from the heart attack I had when I saw zero balance on my wallet...

that's just....poor, wow

I donīt want to advertise that (maybe shit) Electron Cash, but it worked smooth for me. Just installed it on another computer, transferred my BTC to another wallet, inserted the seed, got the BitCoinCash, sent them to an exchange, deleted electron cash and sent BTC to a new wallet...
I was just afraid this electron cash might steal my BitCoinCash, but nothing happened (except the things supposed to happen). So, i did not use it that much, but just for claiming the CashStuff it worked easy and fine for me...

Electron Cash searches for an existing Electrum wallet and overwrites it.

Thats why i used another machine (pretty old laptop i did not use for years and will hardly ever use again, probably except for claiming some other fork coins  Tongue). Electrum has never been there and electron cash has never seen my all day computer...

Why did BCC rise back some on pretty strong volume.   Is that just random or for some reason relating to bitcoin at all.

I'm looking at the price action for August on Kraken and the whole of August we've been in a regular price channel.   Thats very strong action, dont even normally see this because bitcoin is so volatile its too loose to keep something regular normally attributed to maybe stocks in movement.

I spotted a few people talking negatively, maybe surrounding the 4,000 line but its acting strong overall up until it breaks that channel.  Actually last day or so it was trying to break out upwards if anything Cheesy

A week or so ago someone queried why Ver doesn't just dump all of his bitcoins into bcash to pump the price. His response was something along the lines of "I'm seriously considering doing this". Perhaps this was that action.

Iīam not sure that this is/was it... I expect some further pumps coming in. They adjust their difficulty down, pump the price up and it will be most probably more effective (considering earning money) to mine the BitCoinCash chain for a while... I would keep pumping it then. There wonīt hardly come better and easier situations to step in to the spotlight. Am I wrong?

So I watch another index of my own invention. (Granted, all y'all may be watching the same index, but may or may not have quantified it as such).

'What index', you may ask? Well, it is the bitcointalk page depth index. At the end of the day, check how many new pages of drek have been added to BCT's leading forum (Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Bitcoin Discussion).

Today, I count six. Six pages of drek, mostly filled with noobs being noobish. While this is tiresome, it is also a very bullish indicator. That's about half again our usual influx of newcomers to the crypto revolution.

Tomorrow we dine upon yeast piss and aborted sturgeon progeny!

this is actually not a new idea

the long term trend price of BTC is equal to the page count of this thread, so we are currently running at about .25 of the actual value...not even joking

So every post is worth 5cents. Keep it going guys Smiley (Itīs not up to me anymore, iīve contributed my 5cents for today  Grin)
