There is too much risk associated in trading right now that Bitcoin price is so high, one bad trade and you can lost thousands of dollars, that hurts a lot.
This is not the same as when Bitcoin was worth 10 dollars, so people trend to trade less and less, at least common people.
I personally don't give a shit about volatility, dips or corrections, and unless the uptrend is clearly broken i will not sell one single satoshi.
I think most people feels the same.
Price is high? What do you say at 1,000? 10,000?
People always can buy 0.1 bitcoin. Price is still below $50.

That wall at stamp at $838 should remember what happened to the 3k $144 wall few months ago (it was there the whole night and price didn't even sliped for a bit).
The wall was just market sold - 1,5k down to $800.
worst mistake ever.
Remember: only sell btc if you
a) know for sure you can buy back lower
b) never buy btc again even if it is common form of payment in 20 years.

The fact that there are no fees is precisely why games are being played. Unless Gox is specifically trying to stress test their system upgrades, I can't imagine why they thought this would be a good idea.

Simple solution:Sell
above market rate. Like right now for $600.
So, then whats in it for the buyer? A killer deal! No slippage. Try buying 200k coins right now without going over $600 per coin. Impossible!
