Most miners would have seen better profits by playing the market.  That is under the assumption that you are good at playing the market.

I purchased a LTC miner recently, but I simply wanted to diversify my BTC holdings.

Why won't btc drop to $600?

Looks to me new lows are coming tonight.

Discuss.

i hope your right.

if not tonight maybe tomorrow or in a few days,

you gata love the bear market! it doesn't last forever.

Haha you seem to like it even more than me. Are you all in fiat? I'm still heavily in coins just that I let about 20% go at 900. Thought it was fairly obvious technically that this was coming. I know it's easy to say it in retrospect but if you've spent a lot of time looking at charts you kind of get a feel for these things. I have to say though swing trading bitcoins like this is way harder for me compared to stocks or futures. Much harder selling some coins when you have a good sense of what they are really worth.

i'm never all fiat, i'm very bullish. always have been. but i'm also kinda poor so.... the market recently ran me over ( started selling at 400, little by little, got an avg price of about 600-750 a coin i guess. ) and i took some profits off the table, now i'm looking to invest 10K, bought in 1K so far, looking forward to cheap coins!
adam, is the price gonna drop even lower?

Only if you aren't already AML/KYC'd at an exchange. That's a pretty hefty commission.

GO to this place if you're in the UK - it does take a commission, but as soon as your bank transfer hits - they send you BTC - usually it takes less than an hour - once you're registered.

http://www.speedybitcoin.co.uk

Currently £318 - I use them when I can't get fiat in fast - it is NOT the cheapest rate - but it is close enough (and better than you quoted).

Plus when you see a dip - it is a godsend.

EDIT: and when I say 'less than an hour' I mean from when you send your bank transfer! Smiley

I need an invitation code

all i know is there's free beer for all at 800
The only way i can currently buy btc is via western union which costs me £353 = $576. this is because i don't use online banking. But still a £30/$50 increase is worth the profit made, right?

fucks sake... i was hoping that it wouldn't go up until another 7 more days because one of my bank accounts are blocked and my other bank acc only has enough money for 1 bitcoin! I wanted to buy 2. Hopefully the price wont be high in the morning so i can go and make a cash deposit to buy 1 bitcoin. By the way what do you say when the banker asks what i am sending the money for?

30. Post 8417162 (copy this link) (by ibrahim11) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_13.06h):

How hard does it get to buy BTC!!!!!!

1.) I bought 2 btc and my bank acc got suspended and payment rejected

2.) I was buying 1 btc by making a cash deposit but then the seller told me at the last minute he doesn't want to sell because the price is too low! (bear in  mind this is when i am standing in the bank)

3.) I bought 1 btc via western union and western union declined my payment! WTF!!!!

I will try tomorrow by making another cash deposit to a different seller... hoping that the price doesn't go up

weren't you bears thinking 490-480 was a breaking point which would lead to fast crash to 350?

Not me, I still believe that support should hold, even if it was pierced at 442$ on Bitstamp.
I would be surprised by a fast crash to 350$, and would have to reconsider my analysis.
That crash should come after the rebound, and could be some 15 - 20 days from now, in my current favorite scenario.

but the question is, how big is the rebound???

If we reach 300+ level, it will be ok price

if we stay under 300, I guess you will regret it

Well, I can't deposit to exchanges like btc-e or bitstamp because you have to be 18 and provide ID. Even though I bought my bitcoin for 300USD - Bitcoin will rise in 2015, right?

Why didn't you use localbitcoins? That would've saved you atleast some of the 50$ fee..
I would have to go to the seller's bank and make a cash deposit. The cash deposit trades were £175 and I bought mine off virwox for £200 (from home using paypal)

as far I know btc-e requires authentication only for wire transfer.

You can use other options(okpay, etc..) with no ID
OKPAY requires ID to deposit into it
