Damn! Looks like the price is breaking down. I wish someone would have warned me. Just a bunch of happy go lucky bitcoiners on this thread. A little dissenting opinion every now and then would be nice.
a $3 decrease looks like a break down to you? You must be new to bitcoin.

Well I wasted my life savings on bitchcoin due to some bad advice so I'm looking to make up a few bucks on Bitcoin.
You must would have invested when the price was around 1000$?
After all you should only invest what you can afford to lose. Also holding till December wont do any harm.

The guy won't make it through march without panic selling, if a $4 range (that's the range for the latest 24 hours) scares him.
Panic sellers shouldn't invest in bitcoin and at least who fear of bitcoin going up and down by 4$ should stay away from it.

no bull raid in february leading to sub 200 coins.

So sad.
People should be happy(at least ones who were holding coins should be).

Also I voted no for the question above and I guess I was right.

I wonder what this week will bring? The bull market is growing legs it seems.
I am assuming that the prices wont plunge down. Atleast they will maintain the current level or will rise to 300$ . Just hope that people don't start dumping at 300$.

That's not entirely true. One can borrow USD on bitfinex and use BTC as collateral.

Sorry for the noob question. But wouldn't it only lead to decline in the price of bitcoin? He is still like taking away USD for bitcoin, its just temporary.

Loaded is a multimillionaire. And so are his friends and investors. If you think he can't push up the price because he already has tons of bitcoins, and all of his and his friends money are already in bitcoin, then you are dumb.

We are moving up so fucking deal with it, and quit trying to make an excuse for every bit of good news just because you shorted or sold at the bottom.
Okay got it.
But I guess all the millionaires who invest in bitcoin are not his friends. If other people also come into play then he cant single handed change the price. Although he can manipulate the things a lot, so what did the soon indicate?

It's probably a great news if a multimillionaire is between us, but if it is so, why did he miss the auction to buy them all at one bid???
Maybe because the other were too competitive. The auction coins got split into 3 parts ao you don't know if he got some part or not.

Laughing at the one billion? ok let there be 10 million people interested, there is not enough bitcoin to go around so the price will go up....

HOLD
I don't sell it but I often use it as a currency to complete my day to day transactions. Never thought of bitcoin as an investment, but it has always been a form of money for me. Its necessary for me to use it in daily life else there is no fun in using the bitcoin.

Yep, they will let it go up for real, but only after another incoming rape in this month.
They wont rape anyone this month. The rape will happen in April. The prices will rise a bit till April and will plunge down. Then I predict an upward trend till February 2016.

Youre wrong m8, they will rape market this month before april 7th. Riceeaters follow astrology. First wave of dumpage will happen on friday 13 due to Saturn direction change Smiley

You are wrong, the moon will change its path in April and the earth moon and Saturn will come in a straight line after 2nd April. Things can get bad after 2April, before that you don't need to worry cause sun is protecting the value.

Lets wait until friday, m8.

Also, I assume the Chinese must dump all of their stocks , both Chinese and globally on Friday too?

Or are the stars Bitcoin specific ?
The Chinese must be crazy if the again start dumping the coins after they see bitcoin reaching 300$ mark.
Why don't they allow the price to rise before dumping? This would certainly help their coins to get sold off at higher prices. Why are they always in a rush?

Continentals, listen up. Risk free* trade:

1. Buy BTC  in Euros on Stamp and Kraken
2. send BTC to BFX in Hongkong (takes ~ 30 min)
3. Sell for USD
4. Lend out USD for ~40% annual interest (that's what I'm getting)

BOOM! You're hedged against Euro devaluation AND getting a nice vig

* obviously there is risk in any trade
Where are you getting 40% interest on lending USD? And how?

I believe he's talking about lending the USD on Bitfinex in terms of swaps. People need it for margin/leveraged trading. You lend them USD, they buy more BTC with it than they could afford otherwise and make more profit. If the price goes down though, they're forced to liquidate and may end up losing everything. You are *supposed* to be safe when lending there.
WoW. That's pretty amazing. Thanks for the info. Will definitely check that out.

on Bitfinex, go to "Total Return Swaps" page, offer USD swaps.  I'm currently getting 0.117% daily interest, which translates to (365 day in a year) 42.7% annual interest. Of course it may be higher because interest is compounded, but may be lower as the contracts are for 30 days or less and I may not get so much in the future. (I may get moar!)
Okay. I will see. Surely will

Everything is happening as usual. Exchanges are running away with people's fund on a regular basis. Dumpers start dumping as they see the price going up even by a bit.
The government is still blaspheming Bitcoin and still we have a long way to go.

I don't think in todays date there are 21million bitcoin users and there aren't even 21 million bitcoin(there will never be those many bitcoins), so a simple answer- 21million people will never be able to hold 1BTC each, the situation is statistically incorrect.

My gut says that the price wil go up cause I fail to understand that till how long people can keep on dumping at such low prices?
They will have to let the market breathe a bit and then they can dump so that the price doesn't fall <$200.

Any ideas which direction the price will head next?

Its not that the "bears" have not been able to take any lower further, its just that the bear 🐻 doesn't want you to go further lower. He is just waiting for the price to gain some momentum again so that people themselves start dumping their coins that they are buying at the current rate.
