I see people trading on their android devices and getting their account hacked but rarely see iPhones get hacked.  If you have ever submitted an app to apple you know the standards for submission - often taking more than a month to get accepted. To the developers/techy people on this forum it means nothing and pisses you off but for the other idiots (like me) we need limitations. Similar to Myspace and FaceBook, Myspace decided to give everyone the ability to edit their fucking page while Facebook limited it.  Soon people had put so much bullshit on their pages the shit ran so slow it became unusable. Regulation is good sometimes in life and if the decentralized Bitcoin gets adopted we need something that is safe for the idiots.

where can I see stories about people getting their accounts hacked because because of android?

Looks like you see more than me

Is this real or another pump and dump? Can't wait for a real spike to like $8000.

It is always pump and dump.

Go near 220, people panic, then they unpanic and go near 250, and repeat.

Unless we are back to 400 for good always will be pump and dumps

Supply reduced by 10400 BTCitcoins since halving!

Just that thought makes the growing pains of miners grow!  Cheesy

I was actually thinking of convincing everyone from a 100 kilometer radius to use their personal computer to start mining and make miners life harder!

Imagine if we could just educate 1 million people with strong personal computers to mine and decrease the supply the big miners receive! That would create an interesting shortage and price spike!

With ASICs I don't think it would matter if you convince a whole country to mine with computers, because they would get just a small hashpower and would mine nothing in practice

Good morning ladies and gentlemen of Bitcoinland.

It's nice to see that 1000EUR seems to be holding along with yesterday's gains.

The battle for $1100 continues though... currently $1097USD at Bitcoinaverage, after bursting through and then pulling back.

As I said yesterday, I figure we'll probably spend a few days of sideways consolidation before the next proper leg up past the Stamp ATH.

It was nice to see the CAD price pass $1450 even if dropped a little since.

Go Bitcoin go. Anyone still waiting for $800?  Wink
Never going back down to $800 there mate.
NeVeR! Grin

Yea sure... wait til ETF gets denied, BU forces a shitty ass HF, and PBOC shuts down all BTC exchanges... $800 can happen anytime, but hopefully it wont

I think everyone agrees that it is more likely that the ETF will be denied, so it is priced and nothing would in practice.
If PBOC wanted to close the exchanges, they would already have done so.
And a hard fork already happened in BTCland and failed

Very possible. The summer could be falling or dead. But that still leaves time for an epic winter

Times like this call for sound advice from the lord of bitcoin, MatTheCat:

these markets are just not to be traded

The majority who invest money in a vacuos asset like Bitcoin are certain to lose

So my plan is to look for long setups

I am hoping to walk away with other players money.

The sell wall's moved up to $2530. This could be the start of a good weekend bullstamp pump. Everything's flipped. Bearstamp's become bullstamp, and instead of weekend dips we are getting weekend pumps.

If everything is indeed flipped and we are getting weekend pumps, then it begs a question what will happen on mondays, which used to be bullish until now. Dont you agree?

Recovery takes forever and OKcoin lost 10% of its value this morning, I am not so sure, that we will see continuation of uptrend just yet. Maybe more consolidation into the summer?

What if this is not a weekend pump, but a week pump warm-up?

It still mystifies him that Bitcoin becomes a new form of digital money and store of value because of people's belief in bitcoin's core attributes as money (i.e., permissionless, deflationary, scarce, utility, divisible, fungible, etc).

Since when is Bitcoin fungible? Since every transaction is public, coins can and have been red flagged. Ever try to transfer coins to or from a gambling site to Coinbase?  Roll Eyes

True, and they would be fungible without such censorship. I don't approve of what Coinbase is doing (or any other exchange for that matter). They're only going to strengthen the use of tumblers and tech like Mimblewimble in the future.

But tbh, just go try selling some PMs at a coin shop without being asked where you got it from, or without having to show proof of purchase.  Wink

Good morning Bitcoinland.

After 4 days of slowly rising prices we had a nice little $100 correction and bounce halfway back up and seem to be consolidating well above $2500... currently $2525 (Bitcoinaverage).

This is the kind of moderate growth we need to keep going.

Go Bitcoin go.

Definitely, slow & steady upwards price increments is the way to go. Much better than huge pumps which are unsustainable & are usually followed by an inevitable dump.

Be nice to break $3000 by the end of 2017, that's my personal hope.

That's something I can support!
A 3k break by the end of the year would be ok, much more than a crazy ride to 4k just to see the coin dying back to 2500...

3k is an honest goal. I just hop for a small dip before because something too solid lacks entry points ^^

Less than $500 from the current level after $1500 rise since January?

Think bigger.

Why not another $1500 rise?

If BTC hardfork...
then how will we send btc payments or do btc transactions ?

if the chain is split then there will be the legacy and one or more other chains that will be like altcoins

the legacy chain won't be changed, at least in the protocal

My shtf plan is mobility. First sign of bad things coming and I find my next country to live in. And they all take bitcoin.

What do you call a sign of bad things?

That is likely a per-country call. I live in South Korea so the first confrontation between North Korea/South Korea(US) that is likely to trigger a war will be followed by my logging into cheapair.com and find the first flight out of here.

If I was in the US, things like passing laws that would likely trigger an event or the debt bubble finally pops, or something happens where energy is disrupted. Any war with Russia or any country who can actually hit things with their bombs is an exit event.

Though my line in the sand that made me leave the US was the tax on being alive (Obamacare).

As a foreigner, may I ask your opinion about South America? Related to signs of bad things.

You live in South America and have to ask others about signs of bad things. You should see them daily, if not in a bubble

Bitstamp on its way.

Kraken struggling due to lack of FIAT. The margin pool is empty.

I guess people are avoiding Kraken since they started to charge 0.0025 BTC for withdraws

So...weekend lift or dump?

I feel like it's a weekend dump.  It's either gonna roll over or rocket up, lol.

Does anyone think that we might be in a kind of ascending triangle with a tightening of the price range that is working out in such a way that an upwards breakout is likely to take place in the coming days?  so in that regard, we are likely to experience an upwards break before the end of the weekend resulting in another test of $3k?

Thereafter, if we actually get to the point of testing $3k resistance, what are the odds of breaking through $3k?  60% yes/40% no?

$3100 is the most important test point in my opinion, $3000 won't be as hard

I can't quite tell if you are serious or not.

Its not some sort of secret society it's a religion. I am not trying to convert but the steps are well known for those with genuine interest.

http://www.wikihow.com/Convert-to-Judaism

Jews(at least some) dislike people that are not from a "pure" jewish lineage, if your father or or grandpa was not Jew, then you'll suffer prejudice. Must be worse with converted people.

So want to join the Jews without a pure jewish lineage wouldn't be too diferent than want to join the nazi party without pure arian lineage.

Might need to spend the day getting the last of my B*CH over to bitcoins while they still have any value.

I have yet to do it too. Does anyone have the easiest way to do it from paper wallets?

Yep

1 - Make a new paper wallet
2 - Transfer BTC to new paper wallet
3 - Download and install Coinomi wallet for android
4 - Click on +coins
5 - Add new BCash wallet
6 - Click on sweep wallet
7 - Enter Private key of OLD paper wallet (the one with Bcrash)
8 - Send Bcrash to exchange
9 - Wait for next pump
10 - DUMP

 Grin Grin

Why waste an android device with your operation?

Better use a live linux system or virtual machine then destroy it after you dumped the Bitcoin Cash
