Inspirational Buy All the Bitcoins Speech

We're in hell boys, believe me. Now, we can be greedy and fearful and cash in our bitcoins for fiat, pay our taxes and participate in the up and coming bail-ins.... OR, we can fight our way back,  we can buy our way into the light,  we can climb out'a hell. I look around and i see newbies everywhere, and i think... I mean... i've made every wrong choice a bitcoiner can make, I fell in every single bears trap in the 20's, I pay 50BTC for mining contracts at 90$. and lately I feel like selling everything.... Newbies talk of bearishness and china being an issue, which reminds me what's at stake here, what we've been fighting for this whole time. and what the bitcoin market really is. the bitcoin market is a promise of freedom and fairness for all.  We are a team poeple, fighting for honest money and freedom from the banksters. Either we heal now as a team, or we will die as individuals. We can get screwed by the system one by one, or, we can unite and screw the system AS A TEAM. On this team, we fight for the bitcoins, On this team we tear ourselves to pieces for the bitcoins! BECAUSE WE KNOW, when we add up all those bitcoins thats gonna make the fuck'n difference, between winning and losing, between getting screwed and screwing them. I'll tell you this, in any fight its the guy that's willing to die thats gonna win, and i know if i'm gonna have any life anymore its because i'm still willing to fight and die for the dream, because that's what living is! The dollars we need are everywhere around us, Now I can't make you do it, you have to look at the guy next to you, look at his avatar, I think you'll see a guy who will fight for the bitcoin dream, because when it comes down to it, he needs it as badly as you do.

Now.... what are you gonna do?!

* inspired by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSDhhZtRwFU *

Hmm, that sounds passionate and reminds me of the life, that I would have if I were you.

Very good, very good.

Proudhon, how many times must you be proven correct until you can reference yourself as a confirm-able source? You must be close, if not there already.
he is already self-referential as a reliable source.
But any more reliable and proven sources, especially the foreign ones in a foreign not understandable language, are very convincing and important.

What's a good entry point to buy LTC? Put buy orders at 17,5 but it's been dropping quite a bit

I wouldn't really buy it yet.. the Huobi hype is over, it will move now with Bitcoin again, and since Bitcoin is most probably going south, LTC will follow it, probably even more aggressive.

3d MACD is looking promising for the LTC/BTC pair. In my honestly biased and distorted opinion one could buy some LTC now.

More and more people are starting to understand that a big government is bad for them and protect the big corporations instead of protecting them; the freedom ideas are travelling fast on internet, everyone can get to understand them by watching a few videos of Stefan Molyneux : https://www.youtube.com/user/stefbot

For me, that is one of the most scary things: large numbers of people being convinced that governments and laws are bad, and therefore rejecting democracy and democratic politics.  Historically, those people have always been instruments of parties that overthrow democratic governments to install opressive dictatorships.

Asia is developing and parts of Africa too

China and Southeast Asia seem to be improving, not sure about the rest.  Parts of Africa are getting worse...

Big government has nothing to do with democracy; a big government is an opressive dictatorship that steal your money and your freedom

Such a huge portion of humanity has left poverty in the last decades

Thing is: Big corporations bribing and holding hostage the referee. Then telling people, the referee is a bad guy.

Endgame: Referee gone, big corporations rule, people loose even more.

Tough on the little guy.  That actually makes me think we could be close to breaking out big to the upside.  If the big players can keep the 99% out, the market is going up.

More thinking on this.  The big players want to increase their BTC holdings at current prices before the next rally.  This would normally cause prices to increase due to a large volume of buys.  So they need another way to do it.

Steps taken by big players:

1) The big players block any rallies with sell walls and negative news releases.
2) The big players in China then force the smaller players to sell BTC with the recent China manipulation, such as shutting down anyone with less than $10K.  The smaller players panic and sell out their BTC to the big players at prices much better than what they'd have achieved without this manipulation.
3) Once this process is complete, the big players are ready for the next rally.  They replace the sell walls with buy walls, and replace the negative news with positive news.
4) To the moon.

Thank you, this made me laugh for the first time today.

To resume:

1. It is bullish to keep 99% of potential buyers out.
2. Big players will buy huge amounts of bitcoins, because they know, there will be nobody who could buy from them later at higher price.

That is just spin.  They propose to give back (say) 10% of the assets and force clients to invest the other 10% into MtGOX2.0, and will count their share of whatever profit that MtGOX2.0 may make as the payment of the other 90%.  Why is that better than giving clients the full 20%, so that they can invest those same 10% into Apple stock instead?  The clients will surely recover their 90% back much faster this way.

5. When/if 4 happens, we will soon discover how much is the impact on price on western exchanges. It might as well be the final test (bit like the "Silk Road bust" test last year) and bring the decoupling that everyone here seems to be expecting.

Hmm, "Silk Road bust" happend weeks after reversal of the downtrend. It was a shakeout. Now we are still in a downtrend, which I would expect to go on for at least another 3 to 4 weeks.

The recovery from the silk road bust was actually the start of when China started buying. Who knows what would have happened without China.

Mtgox would have pushed the price to around1000$ ? Every other exchange would have been following mtgox.  Cheesy

The sentiment is very bad on Bitcoin but the same people that tell you they think it is going down are keeping ton of cash on the exchanges; that makes me very bullish

How do you know about cash on exchanges?

ok so let me guess how this might play out:

1. FXBTC played a Gox (fact)
2. Other exchanges might be operating a fractional reserve too (speculation, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=592760.msg6505570#msg6505570) (meh, call me fudster if you want)
3. Chinese traders are worried that other exchanges might pull a Gox too and hence a part of them will aim for the fiat exit door, depressing the price.
4. 1 and 2 add another reason for PBoC to want to "protect the people" and pull the plug on the other exchanges before a large scale Goxxing happens.
5. When/if 4 happens, we will soon discover how much is the impact on price on western exchanges. It might as well be the final test (bit like the "Silk Road bust" test last year) and bring the decoupling that everyone here seems to be expecting.

The rational thing to do if you are afraid, is to convert everything to bitcoin and withdraw. Because

a) it is risky to be in fiat these days

b) it is risky to have funds at exchanges these days.

Bonus: If your favorite exchange goes bust, it is more difficult for the thugs to track you.

c) it is risky to hold bitcoins these days

Therefore withdraw your money and diversify your portfolio Smiley

Hope 380 - 450 range will hold for the rest of the year. Maybe then a new rally in early 2015.

Until then I am still waiting on the sideline - watching only, not touching

Polish authorities, regulators, and banks issued a sweeping statement warning of the risk of bitcoin, ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies. They said these currencies are not national or legal tender and cannot be used to pay taxes. They do not fall within the guidelines provided by Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Businesses, especially, should be wary about adopting or trying to use “virtual currencies.”

There never was too much blood in the water anyways, and it seems most people like me already expected sideways or down until Aug 1. Nothing concerning as of yet, whales are likely sleeping right now as well. Just be happy we are still above 2000, this may not hold true during August Smiley

No worries here. I'm just fine with any direction.

Anyone got an idea, why namecoin is holding relatively well today? - I'm just a bit surprised, because it's the most similar coin to bitcoin. If bitcoin would be falling because of hardforking concerns, namecoin should even fall more, no?

So,...:

It's not clear to me, is what just happened even possible on main net?

No, because there's no way anybody would risk real money with SegWit2X clown code.

The '6000 blocks mined in day' talking point distraction is obfuscating the real problem that the code then got stuck when the (accelerated) HF happened ... you know like the piece of the code that whole client is in existence because ... it's raison d'etre is broken.

They should be thanking whoever accelerated the '6000 blocks in one day' for showing them their fundamental brokenness bugs (how fucked they are) ... instead we get BS talking points about ASICs on testnet, wah-wah, who knew?

It wouldn't be that hard to know WHO did the accelerated mining. The past couple of days the segwit signaling dropped significantly... Maybe Bitfury directed some of its hashing power to testnet?

Anyways.... isn't what has just hapened in testnet the exact intended behaviour for mainnet? I mean, bigblockers win and smallblockers get frozen IF they don't have enough hashpower.

As I understand it, the "bigblockers' Segwit2X" just managed to get frozen on a block, that is even smaller than 1MB. And now they can neither mine a block that is bigger nor smaller than 1MB.

So bad luck for them...

The "bitcoin can only go up, buy every dip!" crowd has been getting rewarded for an abnormally long amount of time, so it's inevitable a bear market rape correction sweeps in at some point to dislodge a fool and his money.
