It's just normal trading in a thin book area. People are buying and selling and some of the buyers don't really care about a 1% price premium. Not everyone is a daytrader.

Ghash situation is not bullish. I see that no action has been taken to improve the protocol so that such a thing doesn't happen anymore. It is getting swept under the rug again. It's like nobody wants to write code anymore.

Why would someone heavily invested in bitcoin make a concerted effort to destroy it?
Who said anything about destroying bitcoin? It would just be a trade, and once the trade is complete they wouldn't be invested anymore. However, I don't see anyone doing this unless they can buy at least 30% below market rates.
In my opinion they sure WILL be able to buy it atleast 10-20% under these market rates, wich means anybody that would sell it would still get almost instant profit of 10-20% it just trully depends on the buyer and we can only hope.

It was ~ 132 from looking at Wisdom. That's likely well over a million bucks on a 132 coins. And CampBX is now offline.
My guess -- someone found an exploit, bought all the coins on the book with fake USD, then made off with as much as they could from the hot wallet.
That would make sense, if the hackers managed to give themselves plenty of fiat IOUs and there was no one to supervise the withdrawal from the hot wallet (it's Sunday).
Well, 100 coins won't hurt the market i hope but it could really hurt the exchange as they had really low volumes. I hope it was just a error in IPO or something.

Well Bitcoin is unpredictable. I think there is no question that it feels as though this is a lot of tension right now that could give way to a major price rise.

Comparing the order books of OKCoin and Huobi at this moment, I would think that Huobi's clients (only) are dumping in panic while OKCoin's are just watching. But things may change fast...

price won't react to news because of fundamental market conditions, its no secret bitcoin was over valued at 1000$ last year, the secret is that it was WAY over valued at 1000$ last year, Speculators bought and pumped then dumped, and they are still in the process of dumping for an
unhealthy profit no doubt... so theres no reason to spike up 10% on bullish news when you still have plenty of sellers at 640.
That's true but i think that when bad news come around or some FUD then value mostly goes down and traders react on these news..

There was a +60 CNY sudden jump on the Chinese exchanges at about 2014-07-11 11:30 UTC, which is 19:30 China time. It could have been someone hearing something about that (the Forbes post is dated 2014-07-12).
That's low ammount anyway, i want to se atleast +200-500

I'm not sure but I think a lot of the movements and trades are timed to sync with the update points on the more popular chart sites, there have certainly been a few times when the price on bitcoinwisdom was rising but the charts have shown a line of red bars.
That's weird then as the data should be the same, but thank you for the expaination.

The July 24th date is 234 days after the previous bubble, which was 234 days after the previous bubble, etc. There is a guy on Reddit who spent months telling everyone we were going to the moon on exactly that date, not one day earlier, not one day later.
When he started getting laughed at, he made his own subreddit, and moved there. The last that I read, he turned from superbull to superbear because his prediction was wrong which he thinks proves that the bitcoin bubble trend is dead.
I am expecting the price to jump a few percent on the 23rd or early 24th because he publicized it so much, for so long.
If he said July 24th, how come the prediction was wrong?
He gave up because there is no sign of a bubble forming, the charts don't look like the pre-bubble November charts, etc, after 2 months of hyping his prediction. I think, secretly, he is still holding on to the idea. He still posts how many days are left until the 24th, and his last post was congratulating someone on their prediction that we are at a very bullish moment. Officially, he calls for a huge drop soon.
He probably gave up cuz of everyone bitching...i hope that he will prove all these people wrong

I don't know? Since i've been following the charts a lil bit closer i've always seen it as way more (multiple orders of like 10-50 coins tops) fullfilled, never seen it as a single multi hundread order fullfilled.

No hardware is profitable now in mining, unless you can get it for FREE. Not even Gen 3 hardware can ROI 35-40% back of hardware cost when they come out. Or you have no cost for electricity and can get hardware at big discount because the capital investment for the equipment will never mine it back.
You actually can make ROI if you have solar panels or some other free source of eletricity so you can run your miners 24/7 for free. And with selling mining contract you could make even more if you would count the cost of electricity and make the customer pay for it.
