why you all insulting rpietila?
thats at first not really polite and 2nd offtopic. if you dont like him simply hit the ignore-button and you never again need to read one of his posts.

also it is not really fair to him. he shares his oppinion and vision of the future and you guys just laught at him. if you want to show him, that he is not right then simply do it with facts and not by taking the mickey out of him.

Well that was unexpected.

Well, i don't think it was unexpected at all, in fact i was expecting some bear greed. A lot of people just sell to rebuy cheaper, all short term bears here are just long term bulls.

I wish someone push the price to 1000$ spending 20mil$ in one move after a severe dump, lefting all bears that sell back at 128$ with no coins to purchase at Gox.

right. imho that fiat-profit-bears are really hurting btc-economy. :-/

The "major battle at $120" will be forgotten as soon as someone posts a funny gif.

no gif, but maybe this?

Bitcoin can't do more than about 605k transactions a day without a hard fork.

Are you sure about that number?

max. transactions/second is atm artifactionaly keept low to not blow up blockchainsize unnecessarily. Wink

edit: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Scalability for the ones that want to read it but to lazy to google.

The moment we free ourselves from the tyranny of the goverment and become free...

I'm selling you my laptop and all my bitcoins for a bow , 10 arrows and a blanket.

Edit : till then i'm offering my btc at a 150$ rate.

i would accept. that also implies, that you are not able to craft your own bow. i already did this, when i was around 6 years old. so i will open a brand new bow-business. Wink

Well , I've been practicing archery for about 6 years as a hobby (only minor competitions , not worth mentioning) so I think we have a different view of a bow Smiley.
Honestly , I would think it will take me months to build a hunting one with my skills , thats why the "HIGH" offer.
sorry to disappoint you. but i only construct bows (and other things as well) from scratch for survival (like a few hundert and thousand years ago). not for competition nor war. you need to go to my neighboor. maybe he constructs bows you want. but be prepared. his bows are much more expensive.

Flashing walls is sonar messaging to other whales:
* prof7bit going to implement a chat protocol to communicate via mtgox limit orders and publish it as a goxtool strategy module.

lol, really? that has got to be one of the funniest ideas ever. "chat over gox orders". love it!

somebody should take this to kickstarter.

a break of $115 (if sustained) is truly bullish (wether driven by gox crap situation or not doesn't matter)

If price rises in Gox, all or part of it can be attributed to Gox crap situation (and dismissed as evidence).

However, if price rises in other exchanges, that can only be because of bitcoin demand exceeding supply. You cannot twist it anywhere.

I would therefore closely follow the pricing in Bitstamp and others, and that has been on a rise lately. It is tempting to think that the going price is $120 (Gox), but I would more likely put it at $103. If I were to buy, I would not try to send money at Gox to buy at 20% premium, I would use Bitstamp.

i agree. and then we maybe see the real current volumeallocation.

You want to see BTC go to the moon again? Shift the decimal places and make 1 BTC = 0.800 USD instead of using mBTC.
Go ahead.  Feel free... ;

(I'm saying it's open source so you have as much right to do it as the next.  You'll just need to persuade enough to agree with you.  Good luck!)

I thought we were discussing about Bitcoin and not how to make an alt coin.

there is no need for an altcoin to do this. everybody can place the decimalpoint at own wishes. even if you decide that for you 1btc equals 250satoshi, thats ok. it doesnt change anything for anyone except you. all you need to do for that is a bit mental math and maybe a bit coding, if you want your favorit walletsoftware/website to show it that way.
