what is up with the barrage of 1 btc sells every 5-10 seconds? its hypnotizing.  good way to sell 1000s of coins without really moving/scaring the market. good way to induce movements but costly if wrong. maybe not too costly.

Its been going on for days now.  Looks like the same person is buying 1 BTC every 5-10 seconds on Bitstamp.

ummm, the same thing is going on at bitstamp. slow and steady stream of 1 btc sells.

thats something like 2-400/hr on each exchange.

If we hit 110$ once, we can hit that low again. I hope Gox won't lag anymore, so I can trade without worrying about my order being 5 min late.

thats odd. there was no lag for me (or anyone else?) today. i have executed 14 orders so far over the last 8 hrs

Really? Then I missed some nice action. Bitcoinity intermittently showed Gox as 4 - 5 minutes lag. Huh
Bitcoincharts has been also malfunctioning, which drives me 'half blind'.

yes you did. and you should likely not use these things then.

Bulls know that bears are scared so they are waiting for the dumps to pick up cheap coins. I think there is a lot of hidden buy power not visible in the orderbook. One big buy order is all it takes to ignite panic buying again. We are waiting for you bears, come on don't disappoint us and give the last sub 200 coins to us.

i have no basis for this speculation but i would say there is >40 mil USD on gox.

(low was 10mil a couple months ago, currently ~16.3 mil and growing on the orderbook).

btc-e is an anonymous exchange, people may be willing to pay for such privilege? They deposit with bitcoin/litecoin, sell, buy back later and withdraw with bitcoin/litecoin and never have to identify themselves.

No ID and utility bill scans?

nope

may or may not be so relevant, but Cavirtex has broken its major descending triangle. lets see if the resistance starts acting like support.

can someone please tell me which btc-price website is it that can show volume against price ranges (and not time ranges)

Volume can appear as vertical bars  and not horizontal

I remember I saw it once a few months ago but I can't remember which one was it

this takes longer than I thought

OK: 10 mBTC to the first correct post

bitcoinity?

cavirtex has always been a low-pass filtered version of the bigger markets (bitstamp/gox, etc...)

we clearly broke the big downtrend a while ago but if you take a moving-average price line of a few days, cavirtex is at the top of the smoothed descending triangle...

fun stuff ahead.

Cavirtex with crazy spikes.

Show the volume  Grin

this is bug and i think its in bitcoinwisdom.com

it appears that those spikes are not due to orders going through - that is, sell orders are not being filled when those spikes happen.

It's all relative. I bought a lot of my coins at around $2.75. Thought it was low way back then (in 2011) when I bought them. I often wished I would have bought more at that price. Maybe I'll get a second chance.

Am I the only one that sees we are overbought.

Yes.. you and maybe one or two other delusional bears..  Cheesy Cheesy

Ok what am I missing then. I'm new to this so I want to learn.

with bitcoin being a free, yet illiquid market, the common indicators can stay overbought and underbought for a long time.

there is a serious sale going on at CaVirtex right now. maybe the closing is causing some panic, or maybe people are worried about the ability to sell large quantities anymore afterwards so are taking the hit now ... but the sale is on. lucky if you got some cash on there and are a bull.

I did some arb the other day moving my $ funds to another exchange, and today the arb opportunity is twice as good. I guess alot of poeple are simply cashing out to fiat and withdrawing to their bank account because of the shutdown, i wonder how long these prices are going to last, is it worth wiring more money to virtex... hmm... probably!

as far as i know, you cannot deposit fiat anymore. i was told its withdraw time, games over.

simplest explanation is larger sellers need the fiat and are taking the hit now, because no clear options exist looking forward ?

I think we have been side ways in the 240's long enough. Due for a $10-$20 flast crash to squeeze all the hopeful Bitcoiners out of their money that bought hoping GBTC would be larger than Cryptsy.

Really it's the perfect time to fuck shit up because BTC still has a whole week recover and give the appears of a strong bounce back.

250 before 230, imo

Wana bet .1 BTC that we see $230 before we see $260? <3 Cheesy

Scratch that. No tired stoned gambling for me.  Sorry I even offered!

would take a 0.1 btc at 1:1 for 250-before-230 or 260-before-220. Cheesy
